The reports that state that a brakefluid leak started the SA fire is only speculation at the moment. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
I have it from officials on the event that (and reading the teams own statement) that the brake fluid sprayed onto the cat converter and caught alight. Apparently while on fire the starter motor suddenly started trying to turn over and the car evently moved about 30 metres on its own. =S
Says a lot about rallying in SA that a Portugese site has more coverage of the damn rally than 3 SA sites! :angryfire :Quote:
