Algeria must say a big thanks to Don Fabio for insisting on this guy Akinfeev.
This decision cost his team 4 points  :dozey:

Well done Algeria !
No football tonight :(
Can't stand any of the remaining europeans. :dork:
they are forgettable indeed...but they know how to win knock-out games (only problem is getting into knock-outs :p: )
ody
Fair effort from Algeria. I wonder if the Football Gods have lined them up beat Germany?
I used to like Netherlands, but have gone off them after the last world cup final.
I don't mind Belgium, but ultimately my support is with South America now (apart from Brazil and now Uruguay)
I would love to see Messi win a World Cup
Colombia look really exciting as do Chile.
So my main support now is
Argentina, Colombia & Chile.
I'm different from the rest of the world.......

A question for Pino.....
Whats the reaction been like in Italy after going out?
Here its all a bit too over optimistic in all honestly. We have forever seen coaches sack and teams bashed for months after going out early, but this time we have the reverse. Everyone saying how positive it is for the future. Probably being a bit too supportive. As ultimately we were pretty awful.
I hope Greece do well as there are plenty of mouths to close :p
I'm also with Steve and Storm but my first choice is Brazil - a team that until now I detested from the botom of my heart.
I'll also support Uruguay ( although they don't have any chance without Suarez ) and Costa Rica
I would love to see Neymar win a World Cup. :laugh:Quote:

Difficult times for Italian coaches :p:
Steve, as usually there's a war in Italy at the moment. Everyone is against everyone, players vs players, media vs all, fans vs coach and players, Balotelli vs everyone  We knew we were in group of death, but everyone expected to qualify to 1/8, so all are very disappointed, and demand a big change. The list of coaches, that could replace Prandelli, is long, but none really has quality to give Italy, the attitude change, we need. Oh wait, there's one coach (Conte) but isn't available :p:
As for the title, would love to see The Netherlands win the Cup, but wouldn't mind Chile or Mexico. Definitely not France, Brazil, Argentina or Uruguay :p:
I'm firmly behind Mexico, who I believe have a real chance to win the whole shooting match, but have a very tough draw in Netherlands. Of course the U.S. is my first choice, but we've gone as far as we're going to go I think. I guess I'm closet rooting for France as well. After that it is go Chile! ;)
Any chance of Altedore playing against Belgium?
I want to vote for Chile.
I hope Germany doesn't win.
I dream Uruguay is humiliated in the next match and we don't see them for another 4 years.
Benny, you're mean.....
Well, I've been a fan of the Netherlands since the Gullit, Van Basten and Rikjaard days (like everyone else). The emergence of Belgium lifting themselves up from being a third tier European team to possibly being the best, I've found really exciting. So it's those two for me.
6 europeans left.
Since Greece and Netherlands who were in the same group of qualifications with us are among these 6 it means we're not that bad.
Maybe it was just bad luck......
No match today.
What a disaster :s
I am supporting USA because they remind me of England in the way that they can't really play soccer and don't try and con the ref like other teams.
But I'd like Netherlands to also do well because it means Man Utd are getting a good coach. And I like the France kit so they can stay a bit longer.
Truer wordswere never spoken. I've already started on the Newcastle and dank, and have tocome out of the closet and say that beyond my country's team I'm really pullingfor France the hardest, mainly because American rednecks dislike the French forall the wrong reasons. I understand why The English don't like France (historically)and the Italians with their 200 plus years of bondage, but for the most partItalians are hyperactive and out of control paparazzi image conscious assholes,Not Pino he just has to claim the same nationality as the rest of those yahoo's.At least their women are generally up tempo, but so are every other woman ifyou know how to flip theur pancake properly. And what's up with going all Armani andPaco Robann? Only Chaldeans, do that in So Cal. and Vegas :dork:
 "Would that I could"
I think I've been pretty diplomatic so far :dozey:
You try cruising areound Caesars Palace at 8:00 Am when the "Persians" are trying to get healthy on the money they lost one way or anotyher, and get blown away by some cat that thinks taking a shower after an exausting day with a little nervousness cfrom landing and gambling, and loosing (a little) is the only logical thing to do, but no these freakin' guys just put on more paco robann over their funkiness, and, and get more nervous, and ode' dififorous  it is foul!!!!!! Smelling!
Tonight first 1/8 finals, so for me it's Vamos Chile, and Vamos Colombia !!! :D
Vamos Chile indeed but hoping for some Ney magic too. My wife is happy that she "might" finally get to see Forlan playing as the biter is out :p:
Also I want Colombia to win but I cannot stand those choerographed bollywood dances :s #7 Armero looks like he is more interested in those routines than the actual playing
Vamos Chile and Colombia too. :)
Vamos todos latinos!
(but Brazil SHOULD go farther :p)
