This is very dangerous kind of accident. Not only for the crew but also for spectators if they stand under the power lines. I remember there was a deadly accident of that type in Dutch championship when Gert Huzink crashed into an electric pole and the electricity killed a another driver who was there spectating...

Watching on Eurosport there were people sitting in chairs under an umbrella right by the road,
this was just a few 100m after this place !

“It was one corner in the pacenotes out of many, many corners that we were a tiny bit too fast,” said Fløene. “It’s very sad because we were steady, driving well with no mistakes but this is the IRC and things like this normally can happen.
