not so many km-s left today but if Ott continues like this he can get 3rd tomorrow.
Think Ogier has this covered tbh. Staying within a few secs with Neuville on tricky stages where C3 typically suffers. Then tomorrow it looks pretty much without snow/ice and he will just sail away.
haha brilliant answer from Ogier to Neuville there.
awesome that we have this amazing battle on the first event already this year!
Interesting fights everywhere! I love this sport!
Neuville saying its Ogier's home roads so he should be hard to beat.
Will he fight him to the limit or be ok with 2nd... and let Ogier be the snowplough again in Sweden ?
at mostly dry today stages toyota took at 1st stage 1-2, at second 1-2-4, and at third stage 1-2.
remember my thoughts at Tanaks tests pre Monte about yaris that was very impressive?https://www.petrolheads.gr/images/sm...concool5lw.gif
all these happened while Ogier and Neuville fighting for the lead
Tänak will pass pathetic Latvala sooner or later
"Ploughing" in Sweden is only when there's fresh snow, Ogier has won it several times starting from first position. I think for Neuville it's equally good if he finishes first or second in Monte. More important could be the starting position before Mexico.
SS9 was much slippier. Ott's time was 1min faster on SS11
yeap wasnt dry,but again faster. That Meeke can be straight away faster today from Neuville and Ogier, and close to ''benchmark'' Tanak, says a lot about yaris asphalt performance.
Very interesting year in front of us guys! Very curious about the bone dry asphalt rallies!
just take a look, with no big factor the tyre choice

Of course there are many factors. But he has only 2 rallies to drive so far, this year. And with such a result/stage times in Monte he puts a ton of pressure on himself for Sweden...
He still has no right to be slower than R5s, that's almost Al Qassimi and Serderidis level speed

For anyone who wants something a bit different from WRC+.
you guys are too harsh on Tidemand...Monte is the hardest rally on calendar, his first kilometres with these beast of a car, what did you expect?
For example Tänak was 8th on his first outing in Monte and behind such a guy called Pierre Campana. Neuville retired.
Sweden is a right place to judge him.
Suninen so wobbly on Evans place!
I can't stand the doughnuts.
Tidemand is going ok, Sweden is where he should be judged. But as I wrote before I really hope he has more detailed plans for his future than "do 2 rounds and hope for sponsors".
Actually I don't think any driver here is doing significantly worse than expected in terms of pace, tire choices taken into account. Maybe Evans was.
Loeb might be doing worse than some expected relative to Neuville but quite a bit was due to the tirechoice on thrusday and in stagetimes he, Mikkelsen and Latvala were pretty much on exactly the same pace.
Lappi hard to judge, was good on thursday but then on wrong tires on friday morning, retirement due to a hit in cut and now engine.
Disappointing that the coverage format is so rigid that they don't show any cars going over the top of the Col on this stage.
I wish they had more freedom to cut between what is interesting vs showing the first and final km for each car. Maybe to use split screen or picture in picture could be an answer.
Tänaks gamble not paying off so much on this one. Loeb now taking back time from him.
Ogier beats Neuville who said he was on maximum.
Not a bad job he's doing in his new car.
just look at those times guys, so close! cant wait for Corsica or dry stages tomorrow?
whats the forecast and condition for stages tomorrow?
Amazing battles this rally. Tanak in comeback mode is sensational!
So impressed with Gus Greensmith. Love his personality - so professional and level-headed.
Today Tänak took back from Loeb/Latvala +50s?
