Though the fact that Sweden and Finland was same country for about 600 yrs until 1809, I don´t think it´s very wrong to talk about Scandinavia and also have Finland in your mind. Finland and Sweden has so much in common, just like Sweden and Norway has as well. (Swe and Nor was in a union until 1905.... which is a pity it was split up, because of all oil there is in Norway...)

I disagree. Officially and per difinition Finland isn't a part of Scandinavia and I don't see the cultural and historic togetherness. You might see it but it's still not the official describtion of Scandinavia.
I was born and grew up in Denmark and I speak Danish fluintly and Swedish and Norwegian quite well. I have worked in all 3 Scandinavia countries and also for 6 months in Finland. I didn't think the Finnish ever gave me the impression that they were Scandinavians and I haven't meet anybody in my work in Scandinavian countries who gave the impression that they thought Finland was a part of Scandinavia.
