What??? No, the sport wouldnt be ruined, the champonship would be way more open, way more interesting and way less monotonous, and predictable. Mikko would have won in Sardegna and Argentina last year without Loeb, and probably a few more, dont forget.

I have haardly followed this rally today, havent really been too bothered since Jari Matti crashed. Apart from the battle between Solberg and Sordo (Who is in the lead, by the way?) the result in the WRC class is pretty much finished and in black and white before even the first day is over. And the event is 5 days long. That isn't good, from which ever angle you look at it!

if you want to see b and c class drivers winning events and become champions follow ladycups and local village events...

the top of the sport is only for the top drivers and for good or for worse for 9 years now Loeb is the best.

Back in hotel :) Today much better than yesterday for me. Better places and more confidence from drivers in easier conditions. I was in both runs of Saint Bonnet in very very fast places. It was nice to watch especially absolutely crazy driving of Bouffier today. I haven't seen times so far (except top ten I have from sms) but what I saw from him was incredible. It's a big pity we lost Ogier because he was the one to watch in every place but that's a part of the game.

Anyway I want to add a little to the ACM decision not to allow superally. I'm here personally as spectator and I don't feel any problem with loosing some cars. I'm perfectly ok with the fact I see only those who didn't retire. For me it is absolutely natural that someone who retired can't continue.

I was here before in IRC editions without superally and I saw only 20 cars or so going over Turini in 2009 but hey, that's the goal of the rally to get over the Turini. How come that You could retire every day and still get to the legendary destintion of the rally history? That's a disgrace to the fundamentals of our sport, nothing else.

Personally I saw more IRC than WRC events. All those of IRC where without superally and I never felt any problem with that and I know most of my friends share this opinion.

In my country, that is not france, people love to see the latvalas's, solberg's, galli's., ogier's, etc. And as you see, the wrc don't need many loeb's. One is enough to ruin a party, as one schumacher was enough to ruin f1 some years ago.

Great rally to ogier. On these stages he has some advantage, but he drove that fabia s2000 on the limit.

Great fight between sordo and solberg that made us imagine how interesting could be the wrc without loeb.

Yes indeed Loeb is always full throttle and spectacular, on gravel I think Latvala and Solberg are maybe a bit more spectacular than him.

On Wednesday I saw him on SS 2 and he was really boring. Zero car (Megane) was faster than "big Seb" on our place :)

Who is preparing the Proton,s as they are Yorkshire registered?
I can fully understand the problem , that Loeb,makes all the others look silly,but he does have accidents occasionally,and its OPEN to all drivers with an International Competition Licence

Hello, hello! Liking this Ladycup! ;)

Loeb isnt boring to watch, his corner entry speed is just rediculously fast! Its his domination which many people are getting tired of, while the battles behind are always a milion times better than him clearing off to another win. His success turns many away from the sport as they lose interest as soon as they are told Loeb has won again and the sport is at such a low it needs more fans to attract the sponsors to bring more teams in!

Lets prey for some mad weather to shake things up in the next few days :D

Just got information that last 8 kms of second tomorrows stage are covered by ice. It's very cold part where ice and snow has always been present in past years.

with wrong tyres everybody is boring.The matter with Loeb is that with right tyres was 1 minute ahead in one single ss.Thats matters,and to be inside the road.Two mainly future wanabe champions failed again for 3rd? 4th? 5th? time last 12 rallies,to stay inside the road while there was no reason to push.Ogier was there for practice,cause next year must have experience with polo wrc to stop Loeb,and Latvala choosed to fight in asphalt at first rally first day inside Loebs ''house'' Not so clever for both.

He was very slow also with his type of tyres. I think they had bad informations from gravel crews (or after bad experience from the previous passages on the stage), but he almost stopped on that place. Most of 2WD cars were faster...

yes if he has wrong info from gravel crew he has to slow down.But this is a totally different story to say that he is not spectacular.
Spectacular pass from a corner isn t the pass with maximum degree oversteer,is the pass with clean line,maximum exit corner speed,late brakes,and inside the clean road to avoid broken rims-flat tyres etc.And Loeb in every video,and in every rally i ve seen was really from another level.
if somebody can t understant what is a fast pass from stage isn t Loebs fault.
