Hanninen's time is just one stage in one rally, but it seems like an indication that Toyota don't have to just make up the numbers this year. The car is apparently good enough that they can be competitive if the drivers, reliability and luck come together.
Has Dumas crashed? No times for him anywhere...

My schoolboy French not that great but am I right in saying the key points of that article suggest that it's a Spanish photographer who was airlifted to Nice Hospital with life threatening injuries?
Seems to be a lot of disinformation around though, some reports saying Belgian who's dead, others say Portuguese etc. etc.

Not surprised sadly.
We still don't know that... What I thought was a person turned out to be a piece of the car... If you look in the beginning there's no one with a blue jacket by the side of the road (only someone with a black one).
He could just have fallen down... Autopsy will reveal cause of death if the police can not find enough info to confirm cause of death.
Our spot for SS2.

Obviously condolences to the family of the spectator. Ridiculous place to stand/squat. A good reminder for everyone. Biggest emotion really is feeling for Hayden and John and they shouldn't have been put in this position.
And in any case the team and officials will have to wait for the results of an official investigation before making public statements about the details. Have to be more certain in an official capacity than some guy saying what he thinks on an internet forum.
RIP and condolences to the spectators family - hopefully some good comes out of it and more people think about standing somewhere safe to spectate.
Hope Hayden and John don't take it too hard as well.
To look at the positive; great to see 4 different manufacturers in the top 4 so far, excited to see how things will be after more miles are covered

R.i.p.
Sad news but not completely unexpected. Sad for the friends & family of the deceased and sad for Hayden to be in that position.
"As a mark of respect for the spectator who sadly passed away tonight we have decided to withdraw car #4 from Rallye Monte-Carlo."

After what had been a great time on stage 2, I'm gutted to read the spectator passed away :(
Rip
My advice would be don't even bother watching the footage closely when you get the chance then. I couldn't spot what had happened but once you notice it, it's very bad. Sad for all involved.
How were the new cars? The new Hyundai looks and sounds spectacular and that's just from the TV

Lefebvre
It's a transmission problem that prevented us to go at the end of the ES2. I think that we will be back tomorrow in Rally2 #WRC

Yes, here you can see the aftermat of the crash: https://www.facebook.com/ZamboVideos...8676256841073/
Clearly his transmission broke during the crash or the recovery.
lefebre is just a waste of time.
Not a good way to start the morning but it would have been miracle if he survived, the impact was massive :(
