Nobody knows for sure who they were. There are plenty of potential drivers out there. Who would have thought Ogier would be this good without a chance? I am not interested to debate who should get a chance or not, it is irrelevant in my opinion.

What I will say is that for the past years, factory (nominated) seats have been regularly occupied by Jouhki drivers for cash reasons only and not based on prior results. Example : Hirvonen at Subaru in 2004. These seats became untouchable for other young drivers, even for a JWRC champion for example who busts his balls for years going up the ladder with small budgets.

After thee team bosses got used to the pay-to-drive attitude it was over for the other young guys who don't have access to 2.5mil for a season.

The ease with which Jouhki can place not only one but multiple drivers in factory seats with cash when necessary is disconcerting and has highly contributed this "pay-to-drive for a factory phenomenon" we have seen lately. It used to be that a factory seat was for the best guy of the moment, whoever it might be, not anymore.

Who could like this that the best guy can not be in factory seat 'cos of some guy with extra money?!

Barreis and Kaffi give us some examples. Who of these hasn't deserved their seat and why, and who would have been the replacement?

What comes to Subaru in 2004, everyone else could have done the same, contact the Japaneese.
How about Sainz then? What if he would never have got support or sponsor money?
Loix also spent time sitting in winning cars because of sponsor money, only different from Jouhkis guys is that they usually get the job done, everyone is a WRC rally winner except Gardemeister.

Yeap, your whining with ONE clear "unfair" placement becouse of Jouhki. Hardly the big picture right? All the other locks have filled their seat complitely.

I don't care.. I'm glad that all the Citroen's JWRC champs (except Prokop and don't know why; maybe they smelled money) got their chances in factory teams.. That should be formula - JWRC champ in factory seat at least for one season.. Don't remember when some Finn won some JWRC round (Honda gp.N guy in Finland-don't remember name and Katajamaki I guess but was disqualified in MC rally 2003)..
