So there's this rumor that Sebastien Bourdais stayed in Florida after the 24 hour to test at Seabring with Dale Coyne. Could be that SeaBass and Coyne are looking to do some or all of a season together or, another team is paying DCR to do a test with Bourdais for them for any of a number of reasons.
Also Racer has confirmed that Mike Conway bought a ride at Andretti Autosport

It is funny how a guy who said he didn't want to do the IRL a year or so ago is now looking to come back. I guess making a living and keeping a career alive does matter. You go where you can get a check. Somehow, he has found his way back, and good for Coyne for giving him a test. How they make it a competitive ride is up to Dale and whatever money Seabass can bring, but it proves that people are not seeing the IRL as no option. It is now an option. Now when it starts to attract people who don't see it as a last chance, that is when we know we have seen the series turn the corner. It isn't there yet....

A much welcomed addition to the Indycar talent pool. Not quite sure he can be as successful as Justin Wilson was at DCR. Last I remember Seabass struggled more than Wilson does when the setup wasn't dialed in.
Realistically though this should probably only be a part time deal. LeMans and Indy 500 practice and qualifying times conflict iirc. Is it possible the writing is on the wall regarding the Peugeot's LMP funding or his seat there? Regardless it's a smart move for both he and the Coyne team.
Then PT would be the only one on the outside looking in.
The article Gary posted said he would only be doing road courses. Someone named Martin Plowman will be doing the ovals. All in all, I'd rather have PT in there, but I guess he couldn't come up with the funds.Quote:
