Oeh...like i said he never hoped to be no. 1 , he was happy with no. 2, instead of being no. 3....and like i said, in every (work)place, when the athmosphere is stressful, you have to make decision, whether to stay or leave, sometimes even if the leaving option is in some cases worse, which it may not be in this case.
The atmosphere between Lappi and a certain team member has been discussed here already last year.
You create a bond after being team mates for some time.
Can you guys use full names and not initials like some low life 15 year old F1 retards ????
Initials only repeted from full names before.

Regardless, it is a good result for Lappi. He was a bit unlucky in Monte, so good points here and a decent road position in Mexico next time out.
@DMACK_Tyres
Nice to see @OttTanak , who DMACK invested in and brought back into WRC action twice in 2014 and 2016, now lead the @OfficialWRC championship for the first time in his career!
@OttTanak
Thank you very much for the support over the years!
I really appreciate it! 🙌
It was great having him back one last time to re-kindle great past memories. :)

Only you were the one talking about fireing somebody if i recall correctly. I only said that he had to choose between a familiar team/ attitude, being no. 3 in the team and maybe not so fine-tuned car (yet), being no.2 to a 6x champ. (huge things to learn etc) a better salary( was also the case if i remember correctly?).
People are different, problems are different etc etc. Who`s perfect? I`m most certainly not...
OK, one Meeke fan's analysis...
In the narrow view, a so-so rally. He was beaten by a few drivers who are generally slower than him, and got nothing from the power stage, but sixth is not terrible. A couple of places higher on Friday, better road position on Saturday, he would have had a shot for the podium and the power stage. Instead he drifted away from that battle.
In the bigger picture, it's quite good. Everybody knows this is not his rally, but he got sixth. He brought home manufacturer points when JML didn't, which will no doubt please the team. And how often do you say "Kris Meeke was one of the few drivers not to go off the road"? He's fourth in the championship, with not-terrible road position for Mexico.
Meeke is doing great so far, if he adjusts himself and does something like Tänak in his DMack WRT year (pushing and magnificent times, when it is comfortable), then i see him grabbing good points, a few podiums and even a win or two. Maybe not suitable to be the leading driver, especially considering his age, but being an "everlasting second" is much more than many or most can achieve.
It's certainly surprising that he was one of the 3 drivers without any snowbank issue, only one stall. Maybe he can finally change. Points also good.
On the other hand he was the driver with biggest speed difference relative to fastest car in the team.(actually to both of them). Even though from the reports he had more test days on snow alone than other teams had for 3 drivers.

CITROËN TOTAL WRT: With P1 on Rallye Monte-Carlo and P2 on @RallySweden, 2019 is proving to be @CitroenRacing’s most successful start to a season since 2013.
Tanak`s biggest moment of weekend

Guys Tanak has done more than won the rally imho. He gave us a glimpse of real domination here, the same Loeb, and Ogier after him, have made us accustomed to. If you except the two french I have never seen a driver, not even Neuville or Latvala in his good day, so sure about his skills and dominance over the competition.
Giving that gap in the PS and staying that cool means he has all the means not only to beat others but even himself, which is a very important challenge in WRC, more than others discipline.
On a side note but not less important we are also in front of a new dominance driving style, if with Loeb cleanliness of driving and safeness of corners changed the rally forever, with Tanak we are going to witness a brand new change. Late breaking are a trend again but his monstruous skills allow him to have still full control of the car, clean lines and grip in the exit. And thank god he's not called Sebastien!
Yaris also had a role on this, especially in Sweden where it has always been fast. Let's see in Mexico if they have solved the issues that were limiting their potential last year. It will be fun if they will
At this stage of the season drivers championship points are completely meaningless. It takes only 2 gravel rallies to neutralize point difference difference between Tänak and Ogier (if we assume equal performance level). At that point of season Ogier or Tänak could have zero points and to have equal chance for championship than if other would have 47 points. Big road position advantage in 8-10 rallies equals 47 points.
WRC should change point system because current level of competition is so tight that articial intervention to competition is not needed.
Jibberish. Has been like that, is like that, will be like that. One needs to overcome the obstacles.
Good points, but I think not the Yaris itself gives him some more advantage, it's more like his freedom not to be in Ogier's shadow. Undoubtedly the fastest car, it still has some problems to solve with robustness and reliability. Probably in M-Sport he would be equal dominant, which he showed glimpses of in 2017. Let's see, interesting season ahead.
Yes, there were some splashes in the second"Super Special" on that horse track.

Imo the best thing about Tänak was how he drove safely after Suninen dropped. Last year in similar situations he kept setting fastest times and then got into issues (GB, Spain).
Really, Tanak looked unstoppable this weekend, and impossible to beat. Kudos to Lappi for his awesome result!
As for Latvala, this doesn't look too bright for another year running. Mentally he didn't sound to be in such a terrible place at the stage end interviews and he did set some fastest times during the weekend, but he's got a horrible 30 point difference to Tanak in the championship which I don't see him closing realistically :( it's a shame for him, but Sweden wasn't entirely negative at least. I hope he can take advantage of his road position in Mexico and pull off a 2016.
Media says wrong national anthem was played for Tanak in podium ceremony
My video from Rally Sweden, did not look nice stepping out of the ruts in 6th gear onto the slush!
