You are right, Freddy was faster and this decision is just a shame...Quote:

It will be difficult because Lozère is nearly a no man's land :D
More seriously, you have to flight to Montpellier and to catch a train (or a bus) to Mende...

FFSA | 33me Rallye Montagne Noire - 2012
I was thinking that , but just wanted to confirm . What kind of gravel rally is this like to watch ? was thinking of coming from Ireland . Is it ran around farmers lanes and tracks through Vineyards or is it like pure gravel rally like say Rally Sardinia ?Quote:

If you want to see other gravel rallye, there is the rallye terre des Cardabelle (13th - 14th October) and the rallye terre du Vaucluse (10th - 11th november), they are older and you can see videos on youtube...
For example, the jump called "bosse du camp" on rallye des Cardabelles : rallye des cardabelles bosse du camp - YouTube
Irish champion Keith Cronin on pre-entrylist Rallye de Lozère(gravel)counting for the Citroën Racing Trophy :)
The event is scheduled for the end of this month(31st august/1st september) ;)
Pre-entrylist available on TERRE DE FRANCE (liste provisoire des engagés)
Cronin is British champion ;)
Still no R1s in the french gravel series? Why os that?
R1 don't have limited slip differential I think. That may be the reason.
Correct, but they are running Twingo and Fiesta in the UK, and Fiesta in Norway sucsessfully. They run their own class or cup, so should not matter. It is an entryclass or a budgetclass LSM or not.
The Fiesta in Norway has been a huge succsess, both in speed and reliability. A lot of car for little money! A perfect juniorcup car imo!
R1's cars are allowed in french gravel rallys but he junior Championship takes place only on tarmac rallys so nobody buy a twingo or fiesta for these rallys. An old 205 or 206 is less expensive and faster so... It's nearly the same in French amateur cup...
129 crews on entrylist of Rallye terre de Lozère now
No Andrea Crugnola on it though(DS3 Trophy)
Famous driver and team manager Philippe Bugalski just died today from an accidental falling(from a tree at his home's garden if I understood well) ;(
He was 49...
R.I.P. condolences to family :(
RIP Philippe Bugalski... :(

R.I.P. Philippe, you were a great person, not only as a rallydriver but also as a human being, always smiling and ready for a good joke, but also serious if it was necessary. What a great loss. My condolences to your family and friends.
Entrylist of Rallye terre de Lozère in seeded order published yesterday wednesday
Just can't wait for next week :bounce:
I'll strongly support Keith Cronin, I'm sure he can show us fantastic performance on french gravel, especially on an unknown event for all the participants(so knowledge and experience shouldn't be so useful) ;)

Rallye terre de Lozère - day 2 - first loop of stages:
Germain Bonnefis can't be worried for the victory if mechanical parts hold until the end...
A battle is engaged for the 2nd place between Noël Tron(leader of GrN)and Paul Chieusse(in the good ol whale a certain Marcus Grönholm used to drive :D )separated by 3"5...
Battle in the Citroën Trophy is absolutely CRAZY, and four drivers can fight for the win again
Quentin Gilbert is now leading a certain gap of 12"...but only 2" separate Stéphane Consani, Jean-Sébastien Vigion and Keith Cronin for the gain of 2nd position
The last loop of the rally looks promising :bounce:
Puncture and wheel change for Keith Cronin in SS9...game over for him in the fight for podium of Citroën trophy, 5 minutes lost ;(
Maybe he can still end in points like in Limousin(where he also been hampered by a puncture)
Tom this Rally is run under the Mille Piste System where by you only get one pass for recee in the Rally car do you know if there is much Illegal recee goes on before the rally with this system ? And also is this being used for the next round of the DS3 Trophy ?
looks slow, but ok isn t it first attempt with s2000?Quote:

For the Cardabelles, being on gravel, he will face the same "recce problem" as in Lozère(as mentionned Tommeke)but in the Var, despite his lack of knowledge of the rally, he can get a very good result... :)
So tomorrow friday early in the morning starts the Rallye du Mont-Blanc ;)
Unfortuneately I'll miss the three first stages :mark:
