To be fair, he is not slow at all, he would be a good driver on smaller events but he is not world class.

Bit disappointed by Kimi's slow times and crash. He was better on Arctic in comparison to Sordo. Marcus and Petter also disappointed, even before thier respective offs. Both have had only one stage where they looked good and without there incidents would be roughly +90s after only one day. Still hope for points for Petter even if they are low points. 8th is as much as I dare hope for.
The win? IMO it's between Loeb and Mikko despite Sordo's very, very impressive pace. The battle with JML for 3rd should be an interesting one. Ogier also going surprisingly well - one of very few drivers to not have a problem (except the overshhot everyone had!).
Look forward to tomorrow. Starts at 06:58 for us in the UK so may miss the first stage as Petter isn't fighting up there. Hope everyone on the stages is having a good time.
I must admit that on stages Wilson always looks better than his times are telling.
No doubt he is a nice lad but under what conditions could he challenge for a podium?Quote:

He's ok, nothing special right now and never will be. End of story.
dont know if this have been mentioned before but Ramona and Miriam wont be at SS8 due a broken rear axle.
They will restart tomorrow.

Lindström speaks about Kimi's off for MTV3:
It first was a small spin after a crest. They had to drive 20 metres to opposite direction to turn the car around by handbrake. There were snow in the radiator, so windscreen wentmisty. Kimi drove slowly, but said he couldn't see anything, that they had to wait for the radiator to warm up and mist to clear out. At that time car hit a snowbank and stayed there. Lindström went to warn other competitors when Kimi tried to dig the car up alone with small garden shovel they carried in the car. They thought a help would arrive, but instead it was a TV group that declined to help and filmed everything. There were no spectators at the point to help.
Sic transit gloria mundi.
Oh come on! I was just talking about the livery!
About to ask that. I see they are being towed in to service. Good news if they can get out tomorrow. Was the axle breakage caused by an accident or just mechanical bad luck?Quote:

Sometimes you need to be very carefull when spelling names, otherwise you can change the meaning. :uhoh:Quote:

Yes but finish infront of Sordo, which so far he's isn't doing. I think he is very quick but he takes risks, that usually dont go his way, when he is quick. I dont think he has been the same since the Poland incident, I just hope he gets the speed back very soon. Nobody can deny he has the pace to win!Quote:

Getting 4th is much better than crashing though.
For them who are blaming Kimi, look at this link http://www.ewrc-results.com/driver_i...86&driver=4674 how the best winner ever did Rally of Sweden in WRC machinery.
And stop crying like kids for candy if Kimi is not speaking after stage.
apparently Petters rear wing did not fell off by its own when Petter went off at SS5 LIkenäs 2.
According to Petters team, the rear wing was a bit loose after his off
and some a**hole simply pulled it off from Petters car and starting to runaway
with it.
Fortunately some other spectators ran after him and managed to take the spoiler from the idiot and
the spoiler was brought back to petter in an undamaged condition.

rv - I did look, and I saw two things. Firstly, he finished the event without crashing. Secondly he showed incredible potential with a top 3 and a top 5 stage time. Kimi has achieved neither of these, and his times weren't good on any stage.
That was Seb's 1st snow rally. He did some good times at the end, and there were 3 times as may drivers who could have won that rally. Plus he went off. Kimi would have been way down in 2002, you have to remember that the amount of quality drivers and works teams is far less now.Quote:

But Loeb drove before Sweden 2002 a lots of rallies with other cars(Xsara kit-car, Toyota Corolla WRC, Saxo S1600...), for Kimi this is yust the sixth rally in his life, only second with WRC car....so, for me nothing to criticize over Kimi's performance. And we still have Saturday and Sunday....Quote:

I think that is to early to ask for him some good results - time will show :)

Humble opinion. Just by looking at two onboards available (shakedown and ss2), Kimi needs a change in his pacenotes. First, he's got the same issue as Latvala had - pacenotes are read too monotonously and therefore, it's difficult to drive fast. Too much useless information there also.
If he could simplify them and Kaj could read them like Timo - it would help much.
Also, take your left foot off the brake pedal!!!
I agree entirely. Kimi wasn't awful - just a bit lower than I personally expected. Long term he has a good chance to compete in the higher points, but this rally has not been impressive, especially bearing in mind that this is the surface he has most experience with.Quote:

People attitude for "stars" (made by journalists) are phenomenal, let him alone, he is doing his job.
On the other hand it's Kimi's 3rd snow rally while 2002 was Seb's first. And moreover there were 34 WRC cars very mostly very capable drivers... And to let a comment at stage finish is just polite.Quote:

SSS started - Mikko loses a quarter of his lead! Only 2s though. I assume it's in the same order as every other stage today rather than yesterdays SSS.
Yeh look at the quality of drivers that finished infront of him!Quote:

At my post Im not blaming Seb for his perfomance at these days, just want to make attention that beginning is always hard. You should train a lot to get good results.
take it all easy friends!
