This is my guess (We should open a pickems for this :P)
""Nothing is really clear regarding the termination of the contract with Volkswagen, but we are talking to several teams about next year and I am confident we will see Andreas with a top team," he said."
And which team it could be?
Citroen? no.
Ford/M-sport? no... full with Ogier/Tanak/Camilli
Hyundai? no
Only chance to Toyota with Latvala and Juho, but will Tommy need him? And Toyota not a "top team".
So I asked Jim Holland, Vice President, Vehicle Component and Systems Engineering at ASME IMECE today if ford is re joining WRC next year properly and he said yes.
More than likely he was talking bull$@&t or miss heard me but yeah he should know I guess and seemed confident...
Well,IF Ford returns,I expect announcements to be made during the new Fiesta presentation at Cologne,November 29.Possibly there will be a double announcement with a certain Frenchman being present...
People might need to sport referring to Ogier/M-Sport like it's a done deal.
The man himself wants to test both cars before deciding - http://www.autosport.com/news/report...ions-next-week
Looks like he's using the press conference to put a bit of pressure onto VW to cut him loose. I also don't think any other driver but Ogier is able to demand tests in multiple cars like this.
and
VW Polo (2016)
-Teemu Suninen
-Nasser Al-Attiyah
-maybe others also
As they say in WRC.com "who orders cars first, gets car first", they donīt care are you fast driver, first ones with money get cars!
