This morning I read in a Belgian paper that Rosetti did not want to start the rally on thursday, because he thought the stages were to dangerous to crash his car. Afther his team convinced him to start anyway, he was able to win the event, like we all saw. In the same article they quote him telling this round was a preparation for next year, where he would do a ful IRC season!!! :D :D :D

Rossetti commented: “This rally has been a real investment for my future career. It's been a dream event: we've had no real problems and a fantastic car with fantastic tyres throughout both days. It was probably the most difficult rally I have ever done as I could not relax for one minute: the pressure was on me all the time. “

Does anybody know since when Ypres Rally is in the European Championship? I remember it was in ERC in 1995, but when was the first year?
