He won Argentina, bad Portugal and Sardegna (small mistakes with unlucky big consequences), 3rd in Poland, 5th but only 7s off the podium in Finland, currently 4th in championship behind the VWs... don't forget he said himself before the season that 2016 is still a learning year rather than a realistic championship attempt.
His pace on splits looks pretty good this weekend, the time loss has come from a few mistakes with spins and puncture.
Don't forget his lack of tarmac experience - he has done less than 10 tarmac rallies in his entire rally career, and I think only 4 in a WRC car.
Actually, the forum has been surprisingly tolerant and even supportive towards Camilli. At the beginning there was some criticism, mostly about Wilson’s decision to replace Evans, but after a while the general opinion recognized the French abilities and appreciated his learning efforts through the season.
This said, perhaps the most interesting question about Camilli’s path it’s really on Wilson’s bold choice. Can this fast way of raising to the top a driver with so little experience (notably on gravel) payoff? Only time will tell, but for now one can fairly say it’s not the easiest one.
Sadly, a puncture took Suarez away from the WRC2 fight, still nice times for the 208 R5 (according to the spanish press, he’s using a brand new car but the team decided not to install the Evo kit. All DS’s using it).
Tempestini is making another great rally and managed to lead the 2wd field, with Griebel, Koci and the Italians 208’s quite close.
Any photos of the Bimmer? (#120)

It's #RallyDeutschland time! We are pretty excited because we will hit the tarmac soon, as well, with the #YarisWRC for the start of our testing programme on asphalt!
Good luck everybody! We wish you good fun and good fights!
