Acropolis Rally 2011

The rally is over for me....today i decided to go through special Stage Regini Elatia and Mavrolimni...Elatia and Regini were both dry and everything went fine but in Mavrolimni the conditions reminded me of Rally GB rather than Rally acropolis with Mud everywhere....Even some competitors who did the recce in 2wd drive cars stopped in the stage due to the mud and they were towed out....

The oil sump of our car broke while we were in the ss mavrolimni and we were forced to stop everything...shakedown is lost for me and quite possibly the whole rally.

I would like to thank Semeraro and Colombo who both of the kept us company while we were waiting for the road assistance...right now i am totally gutted :( :( :( :(

Myself I would not want you to have this problems N.O.T, will you really miss the rally and going nowhere see the cars this weekend?

I was thinking the same when I saw N.O.T's photos :)

on some steep uphill sections it was impossible even for recce 2wd cars to move....and considering the fact that at this time of the year we get temperatures round 30-35 while this year we get around 20-25 with terrestrial rain... it is wet....ok maybe the pacific ocean is wetter this time of year...maybe.

The first picture is from Elatia a magnifiscent place to spectate and the stage was bone dry but as you can see there are clouds gathering so it might not be case on friday...this place if it gets wet is going to be a highlight and it gathers around 10 people maximum since most of greeks prefer hairpins....go figure.

the corner has opposite camber and a drop on the left and almost all drivers had their moment...at least those that try to go fast.
