Lappi split.... it's over. Neuville - 3rd
Splita are coming much later on wrc.com than wrc+
On the michelin site they are as fast as on wrc+ maps and crash less often:

Huttunen stopped... One more finnish victim? Hearing from Becs.
Huttunen stoped? oh what a shame (
Great time and stage win by Evans. Suninen also still showing pace despite his disappointments.
It has been very intersting rally so far, even though today it's more or less Sunday driving exept Lappi/Neuville/Mikkelsen battle from podium positions.
Prior PowerStage there has been 7 different stage winners: Tänak 5; Ogier and Evans 3; Latvala, Suninen and Neuville 2 and Huttunen 1.
@NOT
Before the points of the Power Stage in the rankings:
Tanak: 42 pts
Neuville: 36 pts
Ogier: 29 pts
Meeke: 21 pts
Lappi: 18 pts
Loeb: 18 pts
Mikkelsen: 12 pts
Latvala: 10 pts
Evans: 10 pts
Really sad for Huttunen to miss 10th Place in overall and 2nd Place in WRC2.
Janne Tuohino passed Mads is now getting that 10th Place and one point, great for him. He has been trimming that brand new WRC car, which he will start to rent for other drivers.
Talking about R5s I am quite impressed by Veiby. Never really believed he is fast enough and didn't impress in Fabia either. But here he was very fast. Granted the conditions were special and he drove some snow rallies with the car before.
On an interesting note he drove the C3 R5 on a few (2?) rallies last year and said he didn't like it and now in Polo he does well. Østberg is basically complaining about the C3 R5 whole weekend.
Did the C3 R5 have any tests in the snow before homologation? It`s not fine-tuned for this event...VW is, they have done several outings in it already and this is pretty much their drivers home event...not to mention other variables. It is fast, but i would wait with conclusions about its capabilities and drivers compared to others.
Julian Porter and wrong translations, part 58.
'Inconduisable' means undriveable, not unbelievable. Really grinds my gears.

Yes, that weekend was the first outing for that car on snow.
Veiby and Kristoferson both did two + some sprint events, first being in late December.

Stupid, stupid mistake. Veiby was way too far ahead and no-one was going to catch Huttunen either.

Action Clip with Rally Sweden 2019
Good grief, are you arguing with Eddie, Msport, or yourself.
Roll cage clearly damaged. If you know what you are looking at you could see that through the side window straight after the accident.
Clearly see it at stage end when Clark interview teemu,
And if either of that was not conclusive, the video of Msport mechanic chopping through the roll cage with an angle grinder should put you in no doubt (Eddie put the still picture up earlier)
Sesks win a stage and up one position overall in JWRC

what makes it so hard to believe that the rollcage is damaged?
Hats off for Marcus!!! Well-done!
thank you Marcus for entertaining us!!! smile on my face every time i see him at the stage end
Quick pro tip for Ogier:
- If you don't win in Monte you won't have road cleaning issues in Sweden ;)
oh... stop crying Ogier! It always happen with you in Sweden - cuz you winning Monte! Stop winning! And all things will sortout. ;)
Ogier throwing shade at Rally Sweden at the stop line. Not a good look.
Granted, Østberg isn't a WDC-class driver, but seemingly the commentators just glosses over that the car isn't suited for loose surface at all, and putting the "blame" of Østberg not being in the top on his lack of ability to drive a car that's not to his liking fast enough.
Meh.
Good rally Teemu. Better being a fast driver that makes the odd mistake than be just a slow finisher.
Latvala took loads of time from Ogier at the end of PS.
it seems it is the same effect as friday was, the first part of the stage is better for the frontrunners and the second part is better for the late starters.
Bit disappointed by Tidemand but not an easy Rally Sweden with the road conditions.
And tidemand confirms my words, he was fast as Ogier on the second part of the stage
Yeah overall it's a bit disappointing. As I wrote already when the 2 rally program was announced, I really do hope he has some future plan rather than just "use all money on 2 rallies and hope for sponsors".
