There was some interesting statistics in this week gpweek (page 53) about the punctures in the German rally.
Michelin investigates.
60% of the punctures related to two stages.
50% of the punctures related to three drivers (Meek, Solberg and Latvala).
50% of the drivers didn’t have punctures.
Meek had five punctures of which two was on shakedown. Sordo didn’t have any punctures at all.
More than 100 broken rims and of those only 10% with puncture. What does that tell about the rims?
Τοο much cuts from drivers? Not so sure.....Clearly the above statistics want to say that wasn t michelins fault all these flat tyres.They are very clever at the way they have type them.To have a right conclusion we had to have and statistics with other asphalt rallies,something is not possible due to be first tarmac rally with these tyres.Quote:

Surely if you have strong enough sidewalls, or high enough profile, you protect the rims. At the end of the day, if Citroen is having punctures, and Loeb didn't hit anything, Michelin have a 'problem'
Kuipers also didn't hit anything.
