Congratulations to Sebastian Loeb, Daniel Elena and Citroen. Congratulations to Hirvonen and Lehtinen, wouldn'tve picked them to be leading into the final rally at the start of the year.
Thumbs down to Malcolm Wilson who let a driver who was pathetic all season win a rally that cost Hirvonen crucial points.
nice drive from Eyvind, back to back pwrc victories sweet :D very impressive driver
Spain was not a PWRC event, but very good indeed :)Quote:

Allo over again!! Brilliant rally-I am pleased to have witnessed Seb`s amazing pace! Feel gutted for Mikko, it would be interesting to find out why he was off the pace in Crychan1 & Halfway1-I think with the exception of the bonnet these two stages could have cost him the title! great to see Petter going for it again. pity Malcom didnt give him Jari Matti`s seat next year.Jari is a spectacular driver, but once again he`s "Binned it", he`s just not ready!!
what a fu#king year!
what a fu$king battle!and what a fu%king 6th title!
congratulations to Loeb, Elena
also Congratulations to mikko's performance!
Congrats to Loeb/Elena for showing who is the master.
Before this rally if you had asked me who deserves the title,i d answer both.
In GB is clearly that Seb can win in every surface.
Mikko will have other chances to win a championship as he is enough young.
Waiting to see more from Petter, and i didn t saw something from a world champion.Sordo much more impressive imho.
In pwrc the level this year is under zero. When in strong national championships subi-evos are no near a s2000,in pwrc we can see evos and scubis winning stages.
Hope next year be more competetive, with more drivers in last rally driving for championship.
One small statistical correction for http://www.vysledky-rally.cz/vysledky
Egon Kaurīs final time is not correct. He got stuck on the fourth stage yesterday and reached to the end over a hour later.. so therefore was out of contention and he got superally times for all those three stages.
Congrats to Sebastien and Daniel
True champion turned things over from a difficult situation. That is why he is a six times champion. Unbelievable frankly.
Congrats to Mikko and Jarmo for giving us a fair show. A rally year which after few rounds seemed to be the most boring turned out to be one of the most exciting :D
Next year will be more difficult but I believe one day Mikko will be the champ
Yeah, the fact that Loeb needed a lot help from his team and Citroen Junior team while Mikko was mostly like one car team driver and still was in the lead before the last round should give him a great confidence. I hope Loeb will not retire from the sport in next few years, otherwise Mikko will win almost all rallies :-PQuote:

Hopefully 2010 will maybe be a bit interesting!!!
It will be definetly more interesting-we have four tarmac races, thank's god.....enough of this mud, stones, holes, as I said it is more like a gravel championship rather than a true WRC !!!Quote:

Still almost perfect drive from Mikko, I must admit. But against Loeb, not enough.
With four tarmac rounds both championships are locked for 2010 as well...Personally I am waiting for 2011,which could be like F1 this year...
That's good or bad?Quote:

On the other hand you could say that if Mikko still cannot win it with Loeb's and Citroen's mistakes, a points system that favours consistency and only two tarmac rounds things don't look so good for him...Quote:

its hardly Seb's fault that Miko always plays safe and goes for 2nd place in hope that Seb make as a mistake?Quote:

Regarding team tactics i find it amusing that ford fans already have forgotten all the times Ford have used team tactics the past years to try to beat Seb.
The difference is that Seb won the title despite Fords tactics while Miko could not.
I've enjoyed the F1 this year watched very few WRC vents as they are sooooo boring now
are there rules to fit compressors in the cars for tarmac rounds? It would give them much more torque
Edit: will just s2000 cars be allowed in 2010 no group N cars?
Well said :)Quote:

Agreed. If anything Ford was first to start playing tactics, forcing Citroen to respond. Citroen/Loeb didn't only win because of help and tactics - and even if they did, they were on a level playing field with Ford so no unfair advantages.Quote:

I also have to add that I was very impressed by Mikko and Sordo this year. And Petter did a fine job proving that Subaru may have had some blame in his poor past performances.
Congrats to Seb and Daniel! Mikko was also fantastic this season, as were Dani and Petter. Hopefully we'll see these four guys competing for the title next year since Dani has been improving on gravel- I'm sure he'll get his first victory next year, if Citroen allows him to  . JML once again provided a mostly unimpressive season, but he's still young so there's time to improve.
Congrats to Loeb and Elena, again. I expected more from Mikko in GB to be honest, but he drove a solid season nonetheless and at least gave us some excitement.
With all due respect Steven, what frustrates you more, WRC or that everyone seem to ignore your efforts to wind things up ? ;)Quote:

Congratulations for Seb and Daniel with their sixth consecutive title. I think iot is another deserved one, it was only because of some less interest in championship that Mikko could return in standings. I must admit tough that Mikko made some major improvements, especiually considering asfaltdriving. I have doubts that he can be treath to Seb next year, considering the four tarmac runs in the championship, but hey yoy never know for sure.
Also congratulations to Brynildsen, who took clear win in PWRC and this with a Belgian team run car. :) (Congrats to RGRS)
Yes GTA, congratulation to you and the team as well, could get a habit in 10 if you give Eivind a good offer !
I guess that the factory will do IRC, and then you could do the World cup as a a factory light team !
Here it says Brynildsen is excluded, but he is still in the results...?
http://wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=408...09&rally_id=GB
No, Eyvind is not any more in the results. Unfortunately, he is excluded...
I'm hoping Loeb and Citroen can continue winning WRC titles until Fords 'fans' learn to accept defeat gracefully.....Quote:
