Sordo testing in Spain. It seems that they improve so much.... Still they are no as fast as Ford and Citroen, but...looks good.

hmmm i wonder if they manage to make it faster than a s2000 car by the time they enter.
When testing in Sardinia??
I have a few (stupid) guestions about testing
since I don't know nothing about it.
How many times do the teams usually drive the stage through
before anything is changed. I know it depends on many things
but some guidelines perhaps.
And when they change something, let's say a suspension,
do they go from one end to the other or is just little by little until they hit the right spot.
What things can driver adjust in the car while driving?
Generaly, they used a track on 3kms. Between each setup change : 2 or 3 runs so about 12-18kms.
I think they adjust little by litlle and they try new things. Sometimes, they just change tires to try with several types of tires or sometimes nothing is changed because they will used the setup from last yeat for the rally and this is just to drive.

I think Ford saying that it won't hamper their preparations for WRC Mexico is a little white lie.
There must be at least one person rolling their eyes in the Ford camp.

They'll have a new car there tomorrow and Mikko will drive three-day tests. JM will go there again on next monday and complete his final day of testing. So nothing to worry about. :)
You post an old link. I post a new link... So what you say is not true..., sorry. See post of Juha_KooQuote:

If what Im hearing is true, Hirvonnen restarted the tests in Portugal and he too already had an off  .
source?

"Ford restarted tests in Tavira region and Mikko Hirvonnen has already stopped aswell."
Maybe car problems, but it looks like it might have been an off.
hope it is not true.Wouldn t like Ford without proper testing at first gravel rally.
It might have been a small off, it happens. It dosen't mean they stopped testing :) .
What about any fellows being at testing ground of Ford? Pics, videos?
can we have reports about how many punctures the cars have? how many brake disks they change? and what drivers have for dinner?
Surely let me just check for that information  .
Videos and pictures perhaps when testing ends ;) .

To me it looks like the rear suspension isn´t to good yet. It looks a bit bumpy on some pics.
Let´s hope they sort all things out before competing.
Video of Hirvonen testing over the weekend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn0HO...layer_embedded
Looks like they have take one of their official car for testing
Maybe Al Qassimi´s Sweden car and he will not compete in Mexico...Quote:

Mads Ostberg drove the Fiesta yesterday in Portugal during... 1 hour. Then returned to Norway!
