Note: that is not gravel or mud in the last picture. Horses use the roads....
There was Jarmo Lehtinen's interview in Veikkaaja magazine this week and he said they are a bit worried about the Pirelli tyres for Sweden because quality related problems they had with the tyres during the test session for Rally Sweden.
Hopefully Pirelli has been able to fix the problem otherwise rally can be a bit of lottery...

Good luck for Rautenbach, that there is no snow. Because marshalls can have problems to find his white car in snowbank :D
I really like Urmo Aava's livery :)
Is #61 really Jarkko Ketomaki or has there been a mix-up with first names?
Great photos there!!
Rick!
Must be a typo/mix-up with co-driver's first name.Quote:

yeah, rain and plus degrees pretty much all the weekend... doesnt look good. hopefully the ice is hard enough on the roads, that would need minus degrees during nights.
This is the shakedown, in Karlstad. The stages up north are a lot better. Stensjön for example has 60 cm snowbanks in some places. No worries. The only threat of cancellation of stages is for the Swedish championship (my opinion)Quote:

Prokop's sponsor is Jipocar.
As in DonJipo ?
Jipocar is a logistic company owned by Prokop's father. It's name is from a town Jihlava they are from ;)
In this way, he doesn't embarrase himself either, nobody will ever see him! :p :Quote:

For those of you who do not speak swedish that good:
He amongst other things talks abt his new shoppingmall, and his new restaurant named Sågen, after the Swedeish SS, which is filled with rally-memories. There are still photos missing of Stig Blomqvist and Björn Waldegård though. He did not want to name it "Monte Carlo" because he wanted something more down to earth, and USR is his fav-rally. He has also built a new cottage i Trysil, where Schumacher used to have a house (but I think he sold it...?)
He says the he maybe will drive the USR again sometime, but he thinks it can be a little dangerous because he wants to win, and he can´t to that if the car is not top of the line. He will attend this years USR.
He is also thinking a little bit abt Rallycross although he hasn´t tried it. He jokes abt borrowing one of Andreas eriksson Fords (Andreas who btw had a huge off in USR 05 I think, he went of hitting a sturdy tree with the floor of the car. think Andreas and his co-driver is a little bit shorter then they used to be ;) )
The paper also reveals something which was news to me, not only Petter but also Henning has imported wifes from Värmland, allthough henning was the first to pick :)

Urmo Aava Citroen C4 WRC broke down during his first run, but it is fixed now and he did 2 runs after that. Don't know what happened exactly.
They weren't a lot to have SD times in PWRC !!!
Nonetheless...second best time for Sandell behind Hänninen :p :
His car is being infected with Sordo virus ;)Quote:
