Wow ... Østberg wants to quit... scared on high speed sections in case steering fails on this car :(
Wouldn't they have changed the whole power steering system last night?
He's quit the rally.
His priorities have changed since becoming a father.
Yesterday..

Remarkable. Presumably he now won't drive the R5 in Germany with all those Hinkelsteins around.
In the Juniors, Huttunen is flying again... even faster then several R5's !
Kajto gets safely to the end and will take the lead of the ERC. That was his priority here, not the win.
Top drive by Bouffier but a real shame to lose Lukyanuk and Ostberg who may have given him a real fight.
Great to have Bouffier back on form, well done to him.
Also good job by Griebel and Michel.
Disappointnents of the rally: Lukyanuk's crash, Ostberg in general and the lack of pace of Magalhaes and Cerny.
Some more massive crashes...

I'm really afraid who's going to start in Barum after this carnage (nothing against the event!)
Crashes galore. Thankfully no competitors or fans badly hurt !

Crazy amount of big offs!
That crash of Szeja into the car of Gryazin could have ended very bad. Luckily he didn't hit the crew!
Another (new for this forum) big crash from Rzeszow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMR4lLby0UI
This got to be one of the most costly rallies in a very long time. When was the last race when this amount of proper rally cars were pretty much completely destroyed?
Nice rally, difficult as always. Good competition, good but challenging weather.
Not best rally for us, but still nice memories.
A lot of big crashes, quite typical for this rally.
Bartek, do You know why fuel checks were done basically for everyone except Polish drivers?

Lukyanuk got Colin McRae's Trophy. Strange decision.

Autoklub.pl made a comparison of all ERC rounds of this year. They counted all retirements in each rally. And it's not Rally Rzeszow that is most destructive, but Acropolis.
ERC 2017 (crews at the finish/crews at the start, percentage of finished crews):
1. Acropolis 16/28, 57,17%
2. Azores 36/60, 60%
3. Rzeszow 57/92, 61,96%
4. Cyprus 46/67, 68,66%
5. Islas Canarias 89/124, 71,77%

The Eurosport ERC review tonight was good.
Nice interviews giving an insight from several of the top driver's.
Yes, it was dangerous as hell. Gryazin's co-driver only hurt his foot, but it could have ended much worse. Gryazin still isn't sure if it was his mistake, calls his driving "safety":
