Round 8 - French GP Results

Well, like a loose Force India tyre, that one flew by! Almost a perfect Grand Chelem for Hamilton, and one of the worst weekends Alonso has had in a while (and he's had a few!)

DO NOT FORGET THIS IS A TRIPPLE HEADER! Austria closes THIS Thursday, with the British GP the weekend after that. If you're not sure of your schedule, make sure you at least put in banker predictions so you don't miss out! I hate having to drop someone from the top 10 because they didn't put in a prediction!

***NOTE***
Every 4 races I do a full audit. This time I have picked up an error that seems to be from Azerbaijan. It appears that ZDKF1 have changed something post results which has meant 26 players gained 1 point, 13 stayed the same, and 1 player lost 2 points. I don't know what's changed, but have updated the scores to reflect the correct totals. This change means that the Top 10 for that round have a bit of a shuffle around in the lower half and leaves the Interforum Standings: F1 Forum & Sports Babble +2, The Fast Lane +1, F1 World -4, Motorsport Forums -1.

Well maybe I'm off to a decent start.

My predicted pole time was 85.85
The actual pole time was 85.892

But the closest prediction was .004 off the pole time. Even with a lot of people picking, 4 thousandths isn't too shabby. That leaves me as an outsider, only within a few players of the closest pole time. :s

But my predictions for the race results contain all the drivers that made it into Q3. If positions don't change a lot through the race I should be in for some decent points. Having now said that, there will probably be a first turn incident that takes out 5 of the Q3 cars. :laugh:

Like a certain Football game, the Red team did a great job.
An unnamed driver was heard muttering, as he walked past a certain British driver, "Football might be coming home, but the WDC isn't!" which may or may not have been the real reason for skipping the interview!

Well crap. I didn't scroll the list as I thought anyone in the top 10 got mentioned.

So now my prediction is that if I finish in the top half of the forum here, it's a miracle! Tazio should remember how bad I was from when we had pickems on the forum. If I have to get into the overall top 10 to score interforum points, then the chances are pretty slim. But good on COD for bringing us some points from Silverstone.

Well, I got Seb for the pole, and Kimi for third. After that, it all pretty much went to crap!

I can't see bringing in any decent points, but then again the entire race was wonky, so maybe the high scores won't be all that high.

Sorry for the delay everyone. Work took over a new business and have had me travelling non-stop since June. Didn't have my personal files with me, so couldn't update the spreadsheet.
Finally back home and am able to catch up.
