Kajto not so fast... Maghalaes up to 2nd !
Maiden stage win for Kupec, nice.
Bouffier is not the driver he used to be :(
Vallejo crashed
6/6 for Lukyanuk.. he's a proper quick guy on asphalt now.
Gryazin crashed at sss

Amazing Lukyanuk and fantastic Magalhães! Força Bruno, força Hugo!!!
Just 20s between P2 and P7; island ERC rally’s rules!
Murat Bostanci brakes too late:

The tree saved someone a very bad day...
Lukyanuk 'just warming up' is 10s faster than anyone !
Edit: Suarez just 6s slower.
Do you mean this?

Yes
BTW, why no Sirmacis here ? I saw he just signed up with new management (Vatanen).
I have just had a look at the results of SS7 in ERC3. It looks quite impressive. On a long 25-kilometer stage (total time 16 min 44s) the top 5 drivers finished within 5 seconds! Timo van der Marel made his first stage win.

Huttunen beats Ingram... or is Chris taking it steady with having a good lead ?
It seems that Grzyb crashed.
After SS10 Magalhães now just 4.1s down on Kajto...
And Grzyb crashed again according to rally-base.
I'd love to know if Huttunen has improved his tarmac pace since the start, as he has been very close to Ingram since SS1 where he lost 19sec.
Or has Ingram just been going steady and keeping the gap ?
Alex and Alex have done it! Massive congratulations, for me suprisingly crushing victory!
Finally Luky! Well deserved win!
Great win by Lukyanuk on asphalt - the fastest driver, winning fair and square and with no mistakes.
Good job by Kajto in 2nd, but he has a real battle on his hands this season.
Congrats to Magalhães getting a podium after never driving the Fabia R5 before !
Btw... I didn't quite catch what happened to Suarez yesterday. He lost loads of time SS4, SS5 and SS6. Someone mentioned engine problems, do we know any more about this?
Another win in U27 for Chris Ingram.. great start to the season. :)
He is the most experienced one there now. Huttunen, Van der Marel or Kupec are nowhere near in terms of experience. In any case in Ingram they have someone to learn from.
Pity Mareš had a technical problem on the penultimate stage. It would be a nice result for both Czech juniors.
What to say more about Lukyanuk supreme speed? Only that it’ll be totally unfair if he eventually doesn’t become ERC champ (well, maybe he could wait another year in case Magalhães runs the champ‘ship…) as he’s the bravest and most talented driver in the series. Hats off also to Arnautov’s, for his courage and competence.
Huge congrats to Bruno and Hugo Magalhães!!! They prove they can be top ERC contenders and they’re still leading the series…let’s hope their sponsors (and some new ones) can give them the chance to run more events this year. Congrats also to ARC Sport, the Portuguese team that owns and runs Bruno’s Fabia; they can be a small team from a countryside town, but they’re hugely competent and passionate.
Nice job from Ivan Ares (a former 911 driver), clearly the fastest among Spanish drivers, and a big applause for the brave JM Ponce and his co driver, Carlos Larrode. Certainly it wasn’t easy to drive (and codrive) the tiny Seat JTR Proto on Canarias stages, but their effort was far from being ridiculous; without the 4m they lost at yesterday SSS and today penalty they’d certainly get to the top 5 in local champ’ship, only behind R5’s and 911’s.
Overall, another great (island) rally to follow on a very promising ’17 ERC season!
A rather boring rally. ERC is not back again it seems, lot of gentlemen drivers as regulars (except for guys like Luky, Kajto and hopefully Magalhaes this year), top ten with at least 50% national drivers, like last year.
Biggest dissapointment: Bouffier. Just a shadow of former years. Also Griebel seemed to drive on a safe mode for the whole rally.
