For me the biggest absence is Paul Chieusse. In others, this year entry list is better.

Béreš clan for the city stage is certainly missing. I know they did rarely more than the city stage but they were those to get the fans into the proper mood.
Entry list to Barum Czech Rally Zlín is out - http://www.czechrally.com/en/26143n-...ist-of-entries
Considering the level of this year's ERC it looks good. Some nice surprises like Sirmacis, Cherain, Madsen with Swift Maxi 2000.
I am very pleased that after the last year's story with tyre marking plenty of local crews still entered the international field. There were of course better years but I'm sure it is worth following.
I'm happy with the list, nice combination of international stars with some great national drivers. A bit disappointed with the absence of Casier and Tanghe but that's no news... We'll still have to see if Cherain actually starts. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the event. :)
I wonder if Cherain and Sirmacis will make it to the start..

It's a shame that Vaclav Pech and his Porsche are on the wrong entry list.
It will be very interesting for us Danes to follow the Madsen brothers (Kenneth and Jacob). They are very quick in Denmark, but are rarely competing outside Denmark. Will the ERC and the Czech entries drive the same stages?
Yes, the route is totally same. They just run after a pause (10 minutes I think). Anyway large local part of ERC field scores into Czech championship as well. Only those with car/tyres unfitting ERC regulations or those who specifically entered only MČR field are in the second group.
Jacob was rather fast in Rally Bohemia but the competition on Barum is on different level. Let's see.
Ucci: It's too early for weather forecast. We had some extremely cold period (even temperatures bellow zero in Rally Šumava area) but that's fortunately over and since now it shall be warm and dry weather (not too hot). We'll see later.
Would be nice with dry, but not stinking hot weather for a change :-)
I personally prefer a bit of rain before the rally or overnight between the legs so that there is a bit of mud and some water in places. It makes it more spectacular especially in forest parts.
Still looking forward to make to rally, but will have no time to make detailed plans. Is there a chance to get some decent spectacle and accomodation on last minute? Also, I would need to purchace tickets on spot.
tickets no prob... rallye guide is enough to plan spectating... accomodation is maybe another story....
Yes, accommodation could be a problem but maybe PLuto can help with that. Tickets are available on every pump station in Zlín and elsewhere. For spectating I can help as well but sadly I'm late and won't have anything prepared earlier than on Sunday.
You are right, Peter. But this is in an R2 in a ERC-rally - it is 'the next level' compared to his earlier outings. Regarding Kenneth, his car is made to national rules which limits his possibilities for international rallies. This is why I am really exited to watch his times compared to the ERC competitors.
Some strange change. Růžička switched number with Jakeš (Jakeš starts for Růžička's team) and therefore Růžička is now going to do QS while Jakeš will start only after all ERC-registered drivers.
Cherain will start in the colors of Renties (Sponsor of Tanghe too). He started a collaboration with Filip Cuvelier who will be his new Co.

In this moment it looks like Barum will be a completely dry proper summer event.
Guys, please remind me in PM who of You wants some help with stages. I'm close to finish something but I may forget on someone...
Everyone please be aware that the village Lhota refused to allow spectator cars on the road to Semetín jumps. Only shuttle bus or walking is now possible. I mean this road: https://mapy.cz/s/ZCCc
Bad complication for many including me...
To put You all in the proper mood I suggest to watch this awesome video from 2015 which has never been posted here (I think), pure sound action starts at 1:50: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6xJBemIdt0
Sirmacis didn't manage to gather all the money. In three weeks he collected only 3266.48 € (out of the required 40 000), but he still decided to come to Zlin. Here'smore info about it:

Cherain will use Fiesta R5
Great news... budget taken from Cyprus to compete here.
Re the fan funding, these are real rally supporters !

A change in historic event. Instead of Hungarian crew No.73 (Szetei-Szetei with 205 GTi) we'll see an Audi Quattro S1 of Slovak driver Milan Troška :)
