Argh, when will they stop dropping Valais, it's one of the best rallies they have.
They're also ending the season ridiculously early, so when the motorsport press are all fixated on the close of the circuit racing season in Europe.

Well Janner rally was excusable as there's no event to include, but Valais will go ahead; no excuses for dropping such a great round.... again. Was there this year and I loved it, now I end up hoping that one of the others has some sort of difficulty and that's not fair on anyone.
How is that an excuse if the organization and promoter/FIA can't find a common language?
Are rallies to apply or are they asked to host an ERC rally?
The calendar is not bad; 50/50 sealed/loose surface (as it should be)
Canarias always produced a close battle in the past and Poland is an important market with a strong rally interest.
I would rather have seen Valais stay instead of Cyprus but Eurosport is not a charity.
I would love to see some live TV too, but maybe that is less important when ERC is competing against the virtually nonexistent coverage of WRC2?
The main issue is getting plenty of (strong) regular competitors. It wasn't too bad in the end this year with Breen, Lukyanuk and Kajto but we have heard nothing concrete about any of them for next year.
It's a good calendar, that spreads ERC from North to South, East to West. They've also kept only 10 events and gone, as RS mentioned, for a balanced tarmac/gravel proportion.
But Valais will be missed. It has a unique situation in central Europe (close to traditional rally countries, not represented at ERC) and a classic alpine atmosphere, with challenging roads, very similar to those that have forged rally legend.
If Valais manage to get in another time, Eurosport should really keep it for good, promoting it has the perfect rally season finale.
I don't like the calendar very much. 4 of 10 events are held on islands which is very difficult logistically and for me the season ends too early. I also miss some proper mountain rally as many others said.
You hit the nail Mirek ;)
Sirmacis with Fabia R5 in ERC 2016? :)

Now the only one question is: Do they plan to have 2 Fabias R5? (It was mentioned on fiaerc.com website that Nikolay Gryazin will do ERC starts with fabia R5 but nobody said how much. It could be 1 start (and most of all JERC campaign)) ...but for sure I would prefer 2 SRT Fabias R5 in ERC next year. More is better :D
I think I heard somewhere that they already have two but maybe I am wrong. Anyway two cars doesn't necessarily mean two drivers.
No need for Skoda to enter the ERC in a works capacity next year. Looks like between their customers they should take the majority of the top spots.
Now it is up to Ford, Hyundai and PSA to give adequate rivals...
One Kajetanowicz should be enough ;)
If Kajto will continue...
Kajto should move to WRC2.
The truth is that Skoda have allways the best drivers too. If M-Sport choose a really good driver to "sell" ERC Fiesta R5... maybe a bet to be the new WRC driver on future
Hopefully we'll see Neil Simpson out on some 2016 ERC events in his new Fabia R5...

In the Gemini Team press released after Valais there is an indirect indication that Jakeš may do some ERC program next year. It's written there something like this: "We decided not to use superally as we had indication that Valais would not be part of ERC next year and the experience from there would not be so crucial for our future."
Big plans for SRT rally team. They are planing to run with two teams - SRT (Three R2 cars) and Skoda Baltic Motorsport (Thre Skoda Fabia R5)

Does anybody know how Vasily Gryazin is recovering?
From what I ´ve heard it will take a loot of time. How long was Kubica´s recovery? Two years? EDIT: It took 1,5 year for Kubica to recover. I think it will be similar or longer.
Sounds like Breen starting to say his goodbyes to Peugeot ...
Craig Breen @Craig_Breen
Thanks to all for being there for me and Scott through this season and over the past few years, thanks guys!
