Repsol Lancia is in the game.
Here's a WR run up Pikes Peak from me in the Quattro

Sweden is not like the real feeling on snowstages. You donīt feel snowbanks in the steering wheel before they hit you and your car. In real life you feel very much the snow banks long before anything happens when they start wanting to catch your car. Also hitting snowbanks are making too much consekvenses. Sometimes they are like mountains (mostly) and sometimes it just dont happens anything hittting them
Thought that was you popping up at the top of the leaderboard fairly often. I only use a 360 controller but amazed at how quick you guys at the top can be, on a long stage if I'm within 1 minute of the best time then I'm dead chuffed. For the shorter stages I usually end up around 40 seconds shy even if I have a reasonably quick run!
The only events where I actually seem to be close is the rallycross for some reason. The Lydden Hill one a couple of days ago I managed to get a top 75 finish out of 3900+ people, which I'm thoroughly pleased with myself about, but I was still 6 seconds off of top spot on what's actually quite a short event.
For what it's worth: here's my run on a daily some weeks ago which was good enough for 3th place:

It does look incredible, I shall be getting an Xbox 1 when this comes out on it!
Quick question, are there many unique stages in each location, or is it like Dirt 3 with variations of a long stage?
Basically what they do is pick 1 real life stage and cut that in 2. So you have 2 long stages (+/- 6 minutes in length). These are then split into two again and also reversed. So in total there are 12 stages per location (4 long, 8 short), of which 2 long ones are truly unique (the rest is reversed or split into half).
What is the career mode like?
I remember on previous dirt games I had to be a Rallycross driver and do the school and all that crap.
I want to just get into an era of a car and rally and drive in championship rounds...
Rallycross I know more about so happy to do!
Console date release?!
April 5th.
I'm massively up and down on the daily stages, seems that RX and tarmac stages suit me, Sweden and Wales are a massive problem for me :D Manged 51st with the Mini on a German stage the other day which I'm delighted about, especially as I'm using a controller and it wasn't my cleanest stage either. Finished my first monthly event in 601st (right in the middle) and 19 minutes down. Learnt quite a bit though, during the early stages I was driving too quick and kept hitting things, which meant the car was badly damaged for a lot of the middle stages. I also need to make the most of the stages that I'm good at, too many of the German stages I did with a trashed car that had no real pull out of the tight corners. Great game though, the online events really mix things up and stop it from getting stale.
I just bought the Xbox One! Ohhhh!! Now have to wait.... :/
I've only really played about 10 hours or so on Dirt but as much as I've enjoyed it, I've also found it incredibly difficult. Every little mistake is punished. And this is coming from someone who normally plays Iracing.
I think my biggest difficulty is trying to get my wheel settings to feel right. Codemasters don't make things simple.
Maybe we should put our Steam account names on here so we can compare times.
Time was the biggest help for me, that and doing a lot of stages in the Mini. There's a huge difference in driving style between cars too, the Group B stuff is massively different from car to car with how you turn in, apply the power etc.
btw I'm SnoodyMcFlude on Steam.
I changed my wheel setttings and I've seen a massive gain in performance. I think my best time at Sweet Lamb is now 6m18sec.
Jonathan M Brown 007 I think for some reason
2016 Fiesta WRC livery already out there ! :)

Just seen this http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/...ly-didnt-know/
Photos show an Alpine and a rallycross Mini, are these console only additions, mods or something we can expect to see on PC?
Edit: Aah, just read up on the console release, seems like it will bring some new cars for the rest of us too http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...fully-not-much
Will be nice to drive something different on the rallycross tracks, I hope they add another circuit at some point too.
Okay so it's only halfway through the day, but just put in a time on the daily event that was top 50 and top 10 for those using controllers, so I'm pretty chuffed with myself :D Okay so over the next 12 hours there will be some much quicker times, but at the minute I'm less than 4 seconds away from being the best controller player in the world ;)
What stage?
Flugzeugring Reverse in an Evo X. Managed 2:52.076 which was 9 seconds off the best time and good enough for 46th o/a. 10th best controller time, 4.050 off the best time.
What controller are you using? I've got an Xbox 360 fro windows and I've not come across anything else that has better trigger for driving games.
Same thing, I bought a USB dealy so I can use my old 360 controller. I really like the feel of the 360 controller anyway, seem to do better with that than if I use the wheel.
Been playing this for a couple weeks on the Xbox One, and man is it as hard, but bloomin brilliant as everyone says! Managed to get the achievement for rolling and landing on my wheels in under a mile on my first stage in the Mk2 Escort  Loving Finland, such a buzz taking off over a jump sideways at 100mph+, while Greece does my head in with it being so tight and twisty!
It's the bumps that annoy me in Greece, I think it's the main area where the game doesn't handle that naturally.
Some of the crashes I've had have been very "hollywood" with the car launching miles into the air off a small bump. Also noticed that some of the stage side signs are amazingly solid, but maybe I should just not hit them!
Really surprised that there hasn't been more posted here about this game, especially since it came out on console. This is easily the best rally game/sim in 20 years; automatically makes everything else obsolete, but in particular, Milestone should hang their heads in shame. Now we've seen how it's actually done, and yet they're still churning out shite like Sebastian Loeb Rally Evo. Well done Codemasters. It took you f*cking long enough, but you got there eventually.
I'm too busy trying to resist sending Codemasters an abusive email about how much more unreliable Racenet is getting! Lost so many stage times recently and it's messing up a few leagues!
Think the Racenet thing is mostly consoles, I haven't had an issue on PC
Got to admit it has helped me a couple times when I have had bad stages, but its bloomin annoying when you can't even sign in to have a go.
Is anyone on Xbox on here? I need some friends....on dirt to compare times with etc. My GT is AllyCummins
I suck in this game
XB One console... First split I'm 17 seconds behind already if I haven't crash or hit a little bump on the roads edge....
For a while I couldn't stop crashing, usually at high speed and at the slightest hint of a bump in the road or a slight bend. I found the way to learn how to drive better was to go very slowly and upshifting early. I slowly built up confidence but still crash a bit :D but I am at least driving at full speed now. I also found most cars are very different in driving style to one another - which I like - so I am confident in the Sport Quattro, Quattro Pikes Peak, 405 T16 and less so in the Group A Impreza. Anything else I am still learning, but then why would I want to drive something that isn't either an inline five or an unequal-length-headered flat-four?
I think it depends on a few things. Are you using a racing wheel or a controller? I am using a controller, but have played it on a racing wheel, and the wheel is much easier. Also, the cars are very different, as you mentioned. I have found both Imprezas very forgiving indeed, whereas the Escort Cosworth (which I was looking forward to the most!), is a total nightmare for handling.
