BIG cut by Breen during test for Ypres !

There are some bumpy roads in Ypres as well. Also those big cuts often kick...
Bumps are not like Ireland though ...

And Peugeot has masses more experience on this event over many years so should have a good set-up.
Combination Skoda Fabia Freddy Loix has the most experience and will probably have perfect setup.
Few more pics of Breen PET:

Looks like the dodgy radiator will have to deal with grass cuttings this time ! :D
Tsjoen's 208 should be looking good:

we will probably have 40 or more R2 cars on the entry list :D
I have always came for shakedown and never regret it. Last year with first introduction of qualification the shakedown was sure worst of all my editions but still worth watching. In 2012 it was awesome with the short rainstorm before!
Totally agree, I hope they get rid of the QS best year. Luckily the entry list is much better than last year and SD will be still great plus always good atmosphere.

I heard Abbring broke 2 gearboxes in testing today and wasn't really happy about the car...
Bruno Thiry with Opel Adam R2.
These bumpers seem to be damaged very easily, and the inside in front of the radiator looks fragile as well. I hope the PSA cars will make it to the end. Looking forward to the Adam R2, especially with a driver like Thirty. Wonder where he can finish the car and hoping for more Opel Belgium engagement this year!

Great news about Thiry! He was looking bloody fast even with the half-stock Fabia RS in last years!
Yes, zero car. I think one of those nationally homologated RGRS built cars but I'm not sure.
I presume they kept the DSG there?
There will be one in the national Rally at Ypres
And maybe if Snijers doesn't start in competition he could drive the Fabia RS for VIP's on the stages :D
Yes, it is. For example stage Heuveland has several very long straights with up to 30 seconds in rpm limiter each. In the past Škoda was benefiting from higher top speed than Peugeot and Ford in Ypres a lot (for some strange reason they didn't use long gearbox in Greece). Two years back there was a video with speed gun from one such straight and Van den Heuvel with R4 Evo made over 210 km/h there...
Maybe they would need to change the programming? The PDK was originally invented for motorsport use and DSG is working on fundamentally same principle. I admit I have never driven stock DSG but I can believe it might sometimes pre-shift up while You need shift down or vice versa as the automatics doesn't see the road in front of the car. It just follows the user when he is accelerating to high rpm it pre-shifts higher gear.
Can't be that hard to disable the automatic shifting surely and just use the paddles?
How does the shakedown work ? Will all the cars do it ? How many time can we see each car ?
Do we have to pay to see it ?
Where are the historics ?
