Everything booked now! Cant wait to see the master for the last time!
Same here!! I wonder how many people are going just to see the master on his last event? It's not the only reason for me, but I remember Loeb from the start of his WRC assault in the Saxo S1600 and especially Sanremo 2001, I was 17 when I watched that on a Friday afternoon on BBC2, I skipped college, got the beers in and started drinking at about lunchtime then inspired by Loeb's awesome run to 2nd played Colin McRae 2 until late afternoon before going to a fantastic party.....will never forget that day lol.Quote:

Full stage maps with parking and spectator zones are available here. They're fairly large documents though.

Just booked the ferry and hotel sorted in Strasbourg 15 mins from service. Can't wait now :bounce:
Thanks for the maps! They are brilliant. Which stages are you doing? We are in Mulhouse, so will do 2 stages then head to the SSS. Can you drink booze on that street in that part of France btw? Only for the Mulhouse stage, don't worry we're not hooligans before anyone says 'why drink when watching a rally?', we just like to sample a few of the bevvies whilst we enjoy the action from a safe vantage point :) To be honest we looked completely out of place in Sweden, because everyone else was trashed and we only had a few to keep us warm!!
Obvious public drunkenness is illegal. In some cities, drinking alcohol in the streets is forbidden but Mulhouse and Strasbourg do not have this law. If you stay a bit discrete and do not insult police officers, you should be fine :)

[quote=scn]It is very difficult to find your own way in the stages. Marshals send you only to "spectator areas", where you cannot see much. However, do not EVER regard these areas safe. Some of the points the spectators are standing are so unsafe that one can only wonder. At the same time, some really safe areas are forbidden by the marshals, simply because the organizer has not put a sign "spectator area".Quote:

All in all, this is not the best rally for a spectator. The main reason I will go this year is that my wife wants to see the beautiful Alsace, so I found the opportunity to see the (maybe) last rally of Loeb. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother. Corsica, Spain and Germany are far better and much more convenient rallies if you want to see action on tarmac.[/quote:rvcu6rh9]
évidemment in the kit bag of every truly dedicated spectator should be a nice small sign that says '"SPECTATEURS" in a believable size and color...and in every group of clever dedicated speccie, at least one person should wear a bright orange vest....And this person shout periodically yell at the "spectators" to make it seem real.. A sort of DIY speccie pen..
You know like in the war movies, the good guys have to get in the nazi prison to break out, so some dress up in feld-grau and they "escort" the "POWs" past their kameraden, the guards...
same thing but you make your own POW pen..
Brilliant!
Maurin will not start. As Rallye d'Antibes is only one week after, and that he is leading the championship, he don't want to take any risk to be at the start of Antibes.

stupid video.
They look like siamese twins on the video :D Both a hand on the wheel, they could be hard to beat.
you truly believe this will be his last rally?Quote:

According to entry list, it's Loeb and Mikko http://www.rallyedefrance.com/download/ ... 092013.pdf
Thanks, I should've looked.
I thought manufacturer points were important to Citroen.........
They cannot change Mikko as he is their driver nr 1. He must be nr 1 during all rounds. Dani is nr 2 and they can swap him with Loeb.
"LIKE"
Thanks BF. Every day is a school day (always learning).
Really looking forward to France this year
Keep a look out for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Fiesta R2.. any pics would be much appreciated
If anyone in service, come and say hello :)
You can count on my pics. I still don't know if we are going to the service or not. A review of the event would be appreciated too. :)Quote:

Is seb1 confident in the car, is he there to win? I doubt he and citroen is unprepared:)
How much is seb2 willing to beat loeb? To much? I think his head can be the biggest problem, he is quite emotional and its maybe to much of old days left? Really hope both can fight to the end, but i think seb2 needs a restart thru the weekend.
Will there be a podium or opening ceremony in Strasbourg?
Yes,, All sorts going on at the SSS on Thursday afternoon/evening
may find some info here,, most with no password needed
