Tinke: Handy-Surf-Flat 250 MB: Unbegrenztes mobiles Internet mit UMTS & GPRS ( Germans: does this need Germany Sim-card although?)
Or:
ALDI TALK - Internettarif
or:
http://www.lebara.de/shop/angebot#offer-dataflat
or:
www.vodafone.de
User quide: http://www.telestial.com/view_product.php?ID=LSIM-DE02
Someone may say which is the "best". I think the cheapest ones must be ordered from internet before going to Germany?
This site I have looked before: http://www.prepaidgsm.net/en/germany.html
I don't know if this site is up to date...
I'm trying to get some info how it works if ur not living in germany.. For sure D1, Vodafone or O2 are the best.. E-Plus is crap.
Back with some Info:
Go to LIDL (it's even near the service parc) and buy "Lidl Mobile".. It's a prepaid card in o2 network
http://i49.tinypic.com/290zw61.jpg
U'll get a card with 10€ balance.
Now how to activate the card.
1. U'll need to go online: Lidl Mobile - Lidl Deutschland - lidl.de
Click then on "ALS NEUKUNDE FREISCHALTEN"
http://i47.tinypic.com/24xouvb.jpg
************************************************** ********************************************
2. On the second page write down the phone number and the activation code from the card
Mobilfunknummer -> phone number
Freischlatungsnummer -> activation code
http://i49.tinypic.com/2h3syut.jpg
************************************************** ***********************************************
3. The card should be active now.
4. Mobile internet costs 0,24€ / MB ..
If you want a kind of a flatrate (500MB for 6,95€. If you reach the 500MB u'll still have internet but slower), go to "DATEN-OPTIONEN" on the webside and click on "per SMS aktivieren"
Then write a SMS to number 54356 with the text START Handysurf

If you need more balance on the card, go to LIDL and buy some ;)
cheers
This is why i really love this community :)
Here some fresh news: Atkinson instead of Araujo in mini? Atkinson zu Mini?*:: rallye-magazin.de
Funnily enough somebody asked me about this last week. Araujo's performance have not been as good as expected and there was some kind of "meeting" after NORF (Armindo finished 15th). Atko's name wasn't mentioned but another WRC driver (currently without a WRC drive) was in the picture. Going by the article it looks like a done deal for the Ozzie.
I thought Araujo was signed up/paid up until the end of the season?
By any chance was the driver in the picture Kris? I have been very surprised by Armindo's results. I would have thought he would have made more of it; like Kris did last year by going flat out and showing his speed against a WRC benchmark (Dani). He has proved he is fast and spectacular at least.Quote:

PS Brother John where is the pub section?
First post! We're from England and currently on holiday in Germany ready for WRC Rallye Deutschland (the 4th year we've attended). Shakedown has moved this year and we are wondering whether you can still see the start and speak with drivers before they start?? We cannot find online any old maps to see where the zone 1 spectator was - as for 2012 zone 1 spectator is not at the start :( Anyone got a previous years official brochure they can have a look for us... really love speaking with drivers at the start and will miss that this if we cannot. I wonder if because of qualifying it is not permitted??
thanks in advance
Cheers,
Chris.
IIRC, there is no qualifying at tarmac WRC rounds.Quote:

You can probably walk wherever you want at the shakedown. If you want to go to the start of the shakedown that shouldnt be a problem. I mean, it's not like they put a fence around a spectator zone and you have to stay there.
Last year we walked from the finish up until where the stage crosses an highway. Very nice spots in between.
You could go further I think, but it was already a long walk and the terrain is not really what you would call flat ;-)

It's always been a mystery to me why the Rally of Germany has never used the Nurburgring as a stage. It's only 70km from Trier, and I think it would be fanstastic as the power stage. I know the FIA has rules that dictate that a stage may only have a certain average speed before it is deemed too fast, but the Finns brought Ouninpohja back for 2012, and the FIA could probably relax that rule for the Nurburgring because it is an established racing circuit and hosts international racing events - like the Nurburgring 24 Hours - and so it has to have a minimum FIA circuit grading, and safety is one of the biggest factors in deciding the grading. If the circuit can host a grid of a hundred racing cars (many of them amateurs) at once, then surely it could cope with timed runs of rally cars going once every two minutes ...
Different shakedown this year :)Quote:

S2000 would stay half of the circuit in rpm limiter and the WRC not much less (top speed is cca 200 km/h).Quote:

Would be nice to see the Nordschleife as a Stage - however, it would just make the current WRCars look pathetic. I even tried it on GT5 in the C4.......and gave up....WRCars aren't set up for top speeds. Maybe if we get a return of proper cars....
:D Group B monster would eat this for breakfast. Several passes of it and we can see Stig Blomqvist winning Rally Deutchland.Quote:

Of course there is always a possibility to make gearing for such circuit but why when all other stages are normal? WTCC S2000 had top speed around 240 km/h with similar engine specification as rally S2000 when it was needed (Monza for example). Just let it be like it is. It's circuit. It's beautiful one but no rally stage.
why people want to see rally cars on a track when they can watch WTCC ??
why god ? why ?
I like to see F1 cars driving there again, but rally cars, not per se (although, cinematically it´s interesting).
Why would you want to watch the WTCC? That's a joke of a series....Quote:

RAC used to have Silverstone track stage...
I think it was the Donington circuit that was used.Quote:
