I've been half following the career of Marius Aasen for a bit now and he seems to be maturing but not quite reaching his full potential in terms of out and out pace yet in my opinion. For those who follow the Norwegian Championship more than myself, is he a big talent for the future or is he destined for mediocrity?
I think aasen is a talent, time will show how big :) he was fast last year in impreza, at least.
Tires? old 2000ccm? to me it seems that henning just brakes later :D

You might now that braking also depends on tyres...
To me, it looked like Henning didnt brake at all :-)
However, it was very nice video.. I have really missed such videos where you can see so many different cars with different sound. Now we had DS3WRC, Fiesta WRC, Fiesta S2000, Mitsu Evo, Proton, Twingo, Fabia S2000, Impreza.. all in 5 minutes :-)
I might :) But I also sort of remember that stagetimes i Rally Sweden was not that different from previous years when they startet to use the wider tire.Quote:

I found this from Subarunorway. Looks like this old car suits Henning well.

Belgium championship we got great diversity :-)Quote:

Can't remember if conditions was wery different... some said they prefered the wider tire in high speed (more stable).
I think the narrow tire is better when there is an soft top (snow) over the ice.
its useless to compare snow road with different cars, and 2 years between them.Fia asked for different tyres to slow down average speeds.Isn t it enough for you?Quote:

Well did they?? maybe i'm getting old, I somewhat remember they said the tires should fit the 15" gravel rims...Quote:

That will, sadly, never happen. Mikkos citroen is superior what Henning get from Ford!Quote:

See what Jari said about wider tyres at 2011 Sweden...
http://www.motorstv.com/sites/defaul...mages/ford.gifJari-Matti LAtvala on WRC Radio. "It was a difficult morning. We had the wide tyre and they can't go through the snow and you end up driving on top of the snow, which makes it very slippery.

i saw your previous post, and while Jari said that wider tyres can t find grip on ice,you said that they are faster because 2010 times were better. You can t compare so much differen t things, different make tyres(michelin vs pirelli)different dimensions tyres, different cars(1,6 vs 2,0) and 1 year different snow covered road, while in the same day,in the same road there is so much difference from first pass,to second pass for the same stage.Quote:

studs are the same as before and the pattern is more open. I would say that a car standing still has as much rubber and studs at the ground
as before, but yes, wider if you get what I mean.
Know? Well, last years says it all. Henning is fast on loose surface, and yes, still is! But old parts, "adjusted" ecu and so on gives the answear.Quote:

NM Rally Sørland 2012 started today.
Live Timing
Was out on two stages of Rally Sørland (means southland) yesterday.
What impressed the most was.
- speed of the R2s
- a real motorsport sound on the N4 Subarus. About time!!
- speed on gravel for the Fiesta R1
- many nice old quick Volvos and M3s.
A good rally day!
