No FP times for Callum Devine. Scrutineering issue.
Lukyanuk spun on FP1.
Basso not here - couldnt quite get the budget.
Lukyanuk was first on the road in Quali so set a slower time (sweeping). He wont get the best road position for the rally.
Big surprise for me so far is Marczyk but i suppose they do have fast gravel roads in Poland.
Bad luck again for Devine... :(
'Callum Devine’s car was found to have a bent rollcage tube and wasn’t allowed to take the start.'
Better news from Callum Devine:
A few dramas today as some of you may have seen. Anyway all sorted now thankfully despite missing qualifying and we’re on the start list for tomorrow. We start 19th on the road, just behind fellow Hyundai Customer Racing Junior Driver Gregoire Munster.

It seems the roads may get rutted for the later starters and /or dust could be an issue. Lukyanuk could be in a decent middle start position after all.
Technical issue broadcasting SS1 :(

Dust is staying on the stage, now.

ERC star Alexey Lukyanuk described yesterday’s Rally Liepāja Qualifying Stage as the “worst of my career”.
Lukyanuk, who tops the FIA European Rally Championship following his highly impressive Rally di Roma Capitale triumph last month, was ninth quickest through the 4.61-kilometre Welcome to Latvia stage in his Saintéloc Junior Team Citroën C3 R5.
“The qualifying [was] not really fantastic to be honest,” said the Russian. “It was not the start we were hoping for. Actually, finishing the qualifying I thought we were quite okay, I believe at my maximum but it looks like small things delayed us on the way, like being first on the road after the two-wheel-drive cars. It looks really strange and frustrating but I think it’s the worst qualifying of my career.”
While the Qualifying Stage was a frustrating affair for Lukyanuk, the Pirelli-equipped driver said the fact he was able to reach Liepāja as a “small win” due to travel issues.
“I actually had some doubts we could make our way to the rally,” said the St Petersburg-based driver. “At some point I thought if we get to the rally then already it’s a small win and it was a big relief when we finally made it to this location.”

SS3 is live on YT.
Breen not bad, only 3s off Luky and with dust issues.
Lindholm faster. Good for MRF's.
So so impressive again by Solberg.
Drama on SS4 - Gryazin crashed heavily and Solberg spun.
Good stage by Luky, tightening things up at the front nicely. Hopefully Gryazin and co-driver ok.
Much dust today, organizers need to allow more space btw starts not to affect the results.
nice fight! Lets see if Luky can close to Oliver tomorow with better road position,or he will go for the safe points?
Sesks took the lead from Ken at last stage

Hard to tell exactly as it’s two different stages but it looks to me like the Hyundai runs a higher top speed and tops out later than the Citroen.
Anyone who understands the language who knows what's going on with the onboard of Gryazin? It sounds like the delivery of notes isn't great, almost like he got lost in them a few times?
Quite some ride with Solberg, that car looks so nimble, seems you can fling it at the corners and any speed you like..

A bit about our accident on the SS4. Today we were really trying to get the most out of our car. I was enjoying this stage, and I was pushing hard when the car went off the road under braking in a left-hander. It could’ve been because of our tires that had been worn out worse than we expected in this rally. I thought I was braking well in advance before the corner but actually it was too late to turn.
It’s a great shame that we didn’t get to fight for leadership until the end. It’s still unclear whether our car will be fixed. It’s a two-hour drive from Talsi to Liepaja, and our mechanics are likely to spend the whole night working on the car. We really hope that our car gets done on time and that we are able to continue to rally.

Starting order for Sunday
Lukyanuk asked about Solberg says they are on different levels - he only has one day of testing and cant develop the car, and just does the best he can with it, and the one is son of a world champion.

Good morning everyone.
Our team managed to fix the car so now we are ready to start Day 2 of Rally Liepaja. There are six special stages to go.

Seems full of battles Day1 leads to standard 'sunday driving' leg today. Oliver and Mads is too fast for ERC level and that ruin battles.
