According to Swedish media Loeb's car is still stuck at the Police/Customs in Göteborg due to the truck driver's DUI.

Why is the car stuck there? No other drivers to drive the truck or what?Quote:

Short terms: Three drivers; three trucks; all have a heavy bender during the last night before the ferry arrives in Göteborg. The ferry crew calls the police and they check them out. One manages to get away before the police strikes - he is M.I.A. (possibly camps somewhere on a not so heavily traficated road to get the alcohol out of his system before risking bumping into the cops again). The other two are busted, one is even so drunk that he's currently under arrest and the trucks (with cars and gear on) are for now impounded.
Also did read somewhere that no company here can right now "take over" the shipment. Maybe trouble with insurance or toll declarations?
wow! hope they get the trucks out in time!
If its only logistics issue, I think they will sort it out. I just worried about any legal issues related to the offence that will prevent the release of the trucks.
Normally, it shouldn't be.
Unbelievable!! :eek:Quote:
