We have an accomodation in Kruklanki, shouldn't be too far from SS2... :D
Schedule and itinerary looks really nice, only small issue is that as we arrive on Tuesday we'll only have one complete recce day. Looking forward!
How about setting up your own tent alongside the stages?
I have never used accommodation facilities in summer rallies such as national events in my own country Latvia or rally Finland. I guess the weather is approximately the same in the rally region. For those who visited the rally back in 2009, how difficult it was to find a campground for your overnight stay?
Usually there was no problem to set your tent somewhere in the field/forest next to the stage.
Does anyone have information concerning these stages, have they been driven before in some competition?
SS4/9 Wieliczki
Lithuanian stages
Saturday's stages
Any idea what is going to be used as a Shakedown stage?
Wieliczki seems to be new stage.
Lithuanian stages maybe were run as part of Druskininkai rally, but I'm not sure, need to check.
Saturday:
- Chmielewo should be similar to "Grabowka" from 2009 - very nice stage!
- Stare Juchy - stage might be similar to "Gawliki" from 2009
- Babki and Goldap - both new stages, Goldap they say should have huge jump.
Shakedown not sure yet. In few past years it was run on super special track, but everybody was very unhappy, so they are looking for different stage.
They will take only 70 entries and it is part of every sub category
so
70
-12 DMack-fiesta
-12 or more JWRC
-3 WRC3 maybe
=43
-10 to 15 WRC2
-13 to 18 WRC
=10 to 20 places left for privateers
Is it enough ?
or will there be more drivers who will make entry?
70 is enough I think...
Are the organisers obliged to take any entry registered for a FIA championship? If so nominated round WRC2 and 3entries plus all WRC must be allowed in. I think you are right Mr P there should still be enough places for all who wish to enterQuote:
