People are saying that BMW gain more from running BMW M3s in the DTM than they do from running a MINI in the WRC, not saying that they should advertise the MINI in the DTM. BMW will have a set budget, of which a small portion will go to motorsport, they obviously feel that the MINI brand gains more from that budget being spent in other areas (eg TV promotios) than they will from running a Countryman in rallying. TBH I agree, the Countryman isn't going to be purchased by many people that watching rallying, certainly not in the way that Imprezas and Evos were, or even the way that DS3s are/will be.Quote:
