Logically speaking, it was pointless celebrating the new millenium as beginning at 2000 as it didn't start until 2001. You would had simply been celebrating year 2000, not the new millenium. People were mesmerized by the flipping from 1999 to 2000 and the Y2K flop. That led people to see 2000 as the beginning of the new millenium, while it technically wasn't.Quote:

Just like 00-09, 90-99 and 80-89. The year 1990 is not classed as the "eighties".
