In my area of the country, bulletproof vests are mandatory for every policeperson, state and local, regardless of what duty they're on. The vests go on before they go out the door. And desk-duty police have them too. A very, very sad statement on our world, but at least it's a modicum of protection for them. Unfortunately, not enough for the four in Washington State.Quote:

Naturlisch, the officer followed all procedure. He shouted, he says SHOW ME YOUR HANDS and he said "the suspect didn't and began to run arund the car...."
We all knew it would go this way.
(This is very close by to where I am, I go by the town it occurred about 24 miles from here routinely, its a dump)
I don't know why, but I laughed when I read the suspect was killed.

The guy was some sociopath and was out on bail after being charged with attacking a cop and rape of a child. He made bail.....
But that's extremely unusual in Western Washington, most people including criminals are fatally mellow here, can't be bothered to do much good or bad.
