Shame of Kubica, but watching Ogier incar their its incredible that RK was running at that pace, Ogier is an incredible driver but he has had lucky bounces this weekend that another time could have been damage and real time loss

Haha, no not just one.. ;) At least 3-4... I see at least 2 big ones. But okey, no one of them had ended his rally if he had gone off the road. But in SS9, he drove at least 100% ;)Quote:

I saw at least two big moments where he did superb to prevent a spin. Slow right hander with house inside and a left hander with mud inside where he went into the field a bit.Quote:

Well, am I the only one that thinks that Kubica is not destined for big things in rally?
I've seen him few times on TV, and his driving is full with errors. I guess he's just brave enough to push that pedal, but that's it.
I don't see any talent in him so ever.
Yeah, apart from his driving skills he wins the most at the most difficult stages. Loeb did the same.Quote:

Of course since they are fielding only 2 cars here you make a good point, those two drivers are a reasonable choice. But haven't they got Hanninen and Atkinson for some rallies? Does anybody think those guys will bring a fight to Ogier first time? I know Bouffier is kind of known as a Monte specialist, as old-school rally used to have more, but I wonder if that's not just that he's a generally good tarmac pilot who always happens to do the tarmac event with the biggest profile due to his limited budgets.Quote:

a) they ever run more than 2 cars this year or
b) Sordo or other second drivers don't pay off
And Astro83 yes you may be right, I should look at Bouffier's other results to compare to Sordo... is rally still a "specialist" sport like in 90s and earlier?

IMHO, talent is not the problem, he has a lot.... Controling his pace though, is a big one, and he has to work on that... But for sure speed is there, with or without mistakes(?).....
Well, let's hope I'm wrong. I have nothing against the guy, I just shared my thoughts.Quote:

Hats off to Ogier. He showed who is the master. At difficult circumstance has a diificulty to attack from 1st day?(Alsace last year same situation)
About his moments,ok they were some, but at videos i ve seen moments for everybody except Hirvonen.
Rally has long way more.

It's hard to say who'd be better in a "full asphalt season" between the two drivers to be honest. And I like Sordo!
I can say this is only Bouffier's second rally in a WRC car and first rally in a Ford, a strong experienced driver on tarmac but unproven in WRC, showing very good pace this rally, hmm who does that sound like to you all? Maybe somebody who everybody is going ape for in this thread?
Hint: he is Polish
Without skates, that is
wrc video for stage 7-8 has the moments of Ogier and Ostberg at stage stop which was very near to flying. It was very near to catastrophe....

But seriously - what's about Hirvonen!? I'm getting disappointing, had hoped for much more speed now when he is back in the lovely Fiesta! :angryfire
Crazy stuffQuote:

Östberg looks fast on SS10 :bounce:
On that video Kubica once again is going wide on turns.Quote:
