That's not crazy, that's just plain stupid and the other guy ruined the shot!

Although I'm a loony myself when it comes to filming rallies but there are places where I never go to film. 50, 40, 30cm from the car in a "safe" place is much better than 4, 3 or 2 meters from outside of the corner. And yes, the shots are worth the risk.

Me too.
Gotta say I like Ogier. I like his "My team mate is the most succesful in the business, no one has beaten him to a title for years, but I'll still fight take him on" attitude.
And beating the worlds most successful rally driver in a rally that has only ever been won by him deserves respect, no matter which way you look at it.

Impressive progress from Ogier in tarmac.But i d like to see a battle till the end with older Seb to see if he would manage to stay in one piece.
Because i haven t follow the rally close due to vacations,did Loebs puncture was a driving error or from stone on the road? Any videos about?

Loeb said in an interview that there were some stones on the road. I got the feeling that he was himself little surprised about the puncture.

Best Incar Special from MTV3 MAX in this season in my opinion... Different stages and many onboards had some sort of "moment" in them which is always welcome. Although I have to admit that Kimi could have been replaced by Latvala on SS1. :)

Because having Senna and Prost really stopped McLaren from winning, didn't it? As 'problems' go it's hardly the worst to have right now....M-Sport can see Citroen off the in distance and Mini coming up strong. That is a problem.

Indeed they are both helping eachother to put the equipment there and give it a good setting to film etc. Goes faster with two, btw they also mostly caring the sponsor logo's that u see on TV. He's indeed not there for safety :p .

I never said that his sole role is being safety guy. I know that they are both cameramen and operate the machinery.

But when the other is filming, the second one is sometimes used as a safety guy. During last years, I've seen them doing exactly the same manouvre in Rally Finland. Other has his hand inside filming guy's vest and is ready to pull him out. Whether it's real safety, I don't think so, but it's better than nothing. But he is there for safety.

In 2004 or something like that I discussed with one cameraman in Ouninpohja, he told that they work in pairs, he was using the small "ground camera" while the other one was 50 metres away with his shoulder camera taking a different angle. Both of them also set the commercial banners before starting to shoot.
