I think it was Bohemia 2014
Hi guys, I just returned from the rally. You are right that it's pity of Pech's early retirement (also of Dohnal) but still I can make some observation.
Fabia R5 was visibly more powerful than anything except some WRC cars. It was especially notable on the first extremely fast circuit stage where Kopecký was chasing Pech. He was getting closer and closer especially on straights. If there was another lap he would be on Pech's rear bumper.
Suspension wise I had a feeling that Pech's Mini was the very best set car out there. Fabia looked a bit more nervous but definitely less nervous than DS3 R5. Maybe just my feeling, who knows.
For spectators it's good to mention that the car looks really great live and with Kopecký behind the wheel it was very spectacular as well. He was driving quite flamboyant to tell the truth. The sound is nice but it's not so loud. Anyway it's a WRC-like sound, not like the other R5 cars.
Thanks for your observations Mirek.
So would you say the acceleration of the Fabia is better than the other R5 cars as well as the top speed? That's quite impressive if they have managed to achieve both.
From the onboard of Kopecky from shakedown the rear end of the Fabia does look a little nervous. But as long as it's predictable I suppose it's not a problem.
this must be the stage Mirek?
