When did the last i20 hybrid WRC tests surface? I'm getting a little concerned.

Too early to worry about Hyundai just yet. They were the first manufacturer to actually have a version of their car running (that's what I was told anyway), despite Adamo playing his media games. Ofcourse the first few tests are more just shakedowns and spotting faults etc, and testing reliability and durability.
However Hyundai have had their two lead drivers properly test the car, Toyota haven't had that as of yet. Expect Hyundai to be doing some runs away from prying eyes, but when they next test properly, that car will be a lot different from when they last tested. Loriaux on board, a full test with Tanak and Neuville behind them, with their input/ feedback and criticism....
Things must ramp up soon enough.

Ouch, if that is true
Another one of puma https://youtu.be/I1uDD89AQik
Hyundai's possible problems.. that's why Wilson is not rushing with driver line-up.. :D
But hopefully they get it sorted out and testing sooner than later.. time is ticking
Wuorela wrote that "any R5 car" is faster than the new Rally1 car in corners. Hard to take him seriously after that.
The comments about VW 2017 car are even more funny. Are we supposed to believe that the VW that dominated WRC completely and spend all their testdays during most of 2016 on new car (not even testing for rallies) suddenly make so big design mistake that it forced them to quit WRC? (the post implies this).
All 3 VW drivers (who drove multiple other 2017 cars later) said that VW would likely have been either best or one of the best cars.

You can sort of pick the bones out of what he writes, but I agree some of it seems odd.
The R5 quote I would assume he means in sharp, very slow corners where the weight will work against the new cars, you can already see it a bit in the videos we have seen.
It does seem odd we haven’t seen anything of the new Hyundai since those original tests, maybe there is something wrong, or being redesigned.
As for the VW, it looked ok in the tests we saw, the thing I have taken subsequently in that FX interview is that maybe they didn’t focus on the aero as much as others, which they may have had to revise later.
Again, don't try to judge speed from what you see on test videos. Anyway if Hyundai is redesigning their suspension, at least they won't be making the same mistake as Citroen.
He commented on that based on tests in Finland, more specifically based on 140 kph-ish corner ( https://twitter.com/MiikaWuorela/sta...88151620206600 )
"The corner speed is less than any top R5 driver in Finland would do here."
Yes VW had lot less aero than Toyota and a bit less than Hyundai, but similar to Citroen for example, and aero is the easiest thing to "glue" on afterwards.
Basically this. It's still a bit more than 4 months to go. Remember where Toyota was in November 2016 when Ogier tested it.
Turning it around one might even wonder whether it's more worrying if MSport is close to finished. Assuming teams have about equal skill and resources (big assumption), does "finishing" much earlier mean they didn't get maximum out of the rules?
Those Hyundai tests that Wuorela attended were likely very preliminary, could be just tests to see what happens to the car when they run jumps, and they were absolutely not allowed to crash the car.
At the same time, it's completely expected that Rally1 cars will have slower corner speed than current WRC because of less aero and simpler transmission. As for comparing to R5, that type of cars weren't present in the test that day, and even if they were, it would be questionable if anyone can judge cornering speed just by watching.
Some things re the Hyundai and their hybrid :
1. They were last to get the go-ahead from the management so maybe the plans were delayed
2. They have a fully-private test area that no-one can see them at
3. Their two top drivers are already signed up for 2022 so there's no rush to have a car ready for a new driver to test
