Indy???
Pretty cool looking car - although I have to say it does not look all that effective (and I guess it wasn't)....
You got it! I think it's the Plymouth version, but I'm not 100% sure.
hmmm - trying to upload - guess I'll post a new one later........
ok, here's a fairly easy one and a reminder that our sport can be dangerous, even to the best......
Emmo
Michigan
1996
PC-25
I remember how my heart sank when his injuries were announced. I knew that would probably end the career of one of the sports great racers and gentlemen.
you've got it...
yes, I remember feeling that way too. I have to confess that I find it interesting how much punishment that these machines and their drivers can take - but it is also very sobering how fragile they can be as well.....
your turn!!
Here ya go...

Wasn't Danny S. doing CART TV back then? Can't remember if he took the car out for a test-drive as part of the track description segment of the broadcast.
Anyway, here's the next pic. I have a feeling that Phoenixent might get this one...
Yes Danny was doing TV reporting back then. Not like now were we have to listen to non-winners and non-open wheel racers talk all race long. Back then they had annoucers that won a Champ Car race. :)Quote:

You are correct on the photo. I kind of felt bad for Sospiri. He was a F3000 champ in 95, but then moved up to F1 with perhaps the worst car in recent history - the MasterCard Lola.Quote:

Sospiri ended up with a dog in CART also. But in all due fairness the Toyota was the dog powerplant. I believe the Eagle would have scored better if it had a Honda in it.Quote:

I was going to comment on his helmet, but couldn't find the right words - you nailed it! Gotta love the Car Acrobatics Team.Quote:
