I really like Ogier, but he is getting a bit agressive when there is no need for it. He needs to learn to control his emotions before he speaks to the press. The crying in Finland and his negativity against his own team in Germany will not do him any favours in the future.Quote:

Agree. But on the other hands looks like something makes him to behave in this manner. It might be as positive as negative. E.g. let's remember situation with team tacticks, which was to make Ogier winner several last rallies. Definitely we don't know much things. Probably it will be clear sooner or later, or we will never know.Quote:

Organizers, make a 70% new itinerary for next year and I'll definately come there. ;) I like Germany!

The shot at 2:19 is just before that spot, I walked there after the 30th car or something like that. I have still some other footage, but can't make the video too long. The longer version (that will be sold on the 2011-Annual Review DVD) will probably contain more footage of that spot.Quote:

I think the former, since emotions are clearly running high within the Citroen camp. Had Ogier made some of the comments attributed to him in the cold light of a hotel lounge feature interview for L'Equipe then I'd view them differently. Also, what has been said in English and what in French - some stuff definitely gets lost in translation. Good win for Ogier but he shouldn't expect any charity for the remainder of this year - after all he did just get luck with a puncture for Loeb.Quote:

I think its far better to work in an environemt where everyone speaks your language and the office is in your country.
I think next year Ogier will be very hard to catch speedwise, this year reminds me of Loebs 2003 year were he was very fast and very close in winning the championship and in 2004 he won it with hands in pockets.
I still doubt that Ogier can be that consistent as Loeb, already in Germany he had a very lucky moment.

Merci, beaucoup. Your english is fine, that clarifies the issue for me. Ogier should be told to keep it buttoned or else go and stand on the naughty step. It is one thing to have a team disagreement but all this now seems like sour grapes. I think Quesnel made a massive error of judgement in deciding that this should be Ogier's 'year' and giving him preferential access to information. What did they expect the most competitive rally driver of all time to do , roll over and play dead? Loeb made his point by out-foxing Ogier in Finland and there can be very little complaint from Ogier - he tried a 'my team' move and it's failed. Eat it up or sign for VW (which it looks like Quesnel feared / expected Loeb to do)Quote:

I’m not sure having them both in the same team is going to work. Two quick drivers sounds fine, but there simply needs to be a No1 & No2 for the good of the team. One for the Championship and wins, the other to support and step up if the No1 has problems. Maybe it could work if the Manager handles it perfectly – something Quesnel doesn’t seem able to do. If I was one of the Citroen top brass, I’d actually be slightly worried about the next 2 years – we could have an inter-team war, a la Prost/Senna.

True, but they are not stupid. Look how the second guy is there just as a "safety guy", you can see that he has his hands wrapped around the vest of the guy shooting. Camera limits vision quite badly... The second one is there to look with his eyes and ready to pull the camera operator to safety in case of runaway car. Ofcourse outrunning a rally car with your feet sounds like... Well, nearly impossible.Quote:
