Yes, Vaantaa is very nice and comfortable place to sleep. And the best thing is that it does not cost anything. Only downside is that breakfast is not included in this accommodation :-PQuote:

No problem mate, only about 200m from the busstop to the airport, and if you want to take a tram to center of the city, the same.Quote:

He is true rally enthusiast who's been working on two books on 70's 1000 Lakes. First of the books is scheduled to be released in December 2010, in Finnish only though. He gives a stage-by-stage detailed tales, results and numerous unpublished photos. It've been nice to follow his efforts with the book which have taken him to old stages, he's been talking to people who live by the stages and remember those times in detail (like showing some rocks that took Alen or Mäkinen or Mikkola out some year).
Just near-by Paviljonki (less tham 100m) at Jyväskylän ammattikorkeakoulu (JAMK) Dynamo-rakennus, auditorio, Piippukatu 2 there will be presantations as planned:

If you are an old rally fan and remember stories from those days, I bet, if he has time, rally professor Mäki is all ears.
I am planning trip to Finland this year, but I have problem to find some good maps where are interesting places of spectators marked. I will buy the official spectator´s guide as aoon as I arrive to Finland but I would like to prepare at home. Is here someone who has already bought the spectator´s guide of this year and would be so kind and scan some maps for me, please? Thx
^ Forgot to mention about that 70's show that it's of course free of charge.

That's a pity, I was looking forward to seeing how he would do in a Fiesta. Even though he wasn't very impressive in IRC he was at least quite good on fast gravel roads like those on his home event.
