Drifter, it doesn't do anyone any good just to keep a name out there. She has to have the intellectual goods to stand up for a conservative stance. She hasn't proven that and I don't think CAN do it. The problem with the Republicans or right wing politicians in general is the smartest ones have a charisma deficiency, and Sarah and some of the others are great at getting attention, but are not the really sharp thinkers. They are reactionaries and people that instinctively are right of center, but never really can get in the debate and move people's opinions in a positive way with their arguments.Quote:

Either that, or just wait until the voters get tired of whomever the current guys are and vote them out. With a two party system, you are always the next best alternative.....I hope like hell that isn't Palin's strategy.
I find her just frustrating. She has the basic principles of what I would like, but she lacks the steel and clever debating skills on her feet that I would want to see in a politician from the right. She has tho ticked off some people I really have no time for so she cant be all bad as I said.
I just think the GOP voters made a mistake in not putting Mitt Romney on the ticket over McCain. Palin would still be an unknown governor in Alaska if that had happened. I didn't see anyone stopping the Obama train after 8 years of the Bushies, but what McCain did in his campaign was just nonsense.....
