Photos from the interior?
They started with Reiger because Reiger supplied dampers for the S2000. Only later they switched to Sachs. I think the change happened only after Barum.
Reiger were always awesome on bumpy, jumpy tarmac (think Ireland too).
I presume they must have some disadvantage on other surfaces though if Skoda don't use them for the R5?
no they dont have disadvantage,is just easier to rebuild/have spares parts for 1 make of shocks, easier to co operate with one company when changes are nessesary etc.
probably they prefered sachs like the mother vw as a German product. Not a bad decision as we saw from polo at all surfaces.
I don't think that Reiger is that much better for bumpy stages. Cars like Fiesta WRC/S2000/R5 and Fabia S2000 were part of a revolution in terms of suspension geometry, allowing the spring travel to be extremely big. I think it's more coincidence that those cars were having Reiger suspension. In R2-class for example Fabia R2 runs on Reiger too, and when it comes to bumpy surfaces it's probably the worst of the class... ;) VW Polo WRC runs on Sachs too. It's likely Skoda can take advantage of the dampers and knowledge developed by VW/Sachs in WRC. And in WRC in the suspension-part nothing beats the Polo, it really "eats" the rough sections and bumps where others (especially DS3) are losing some time.
Somebody was interested in interior photos. Here they are: http://www.auto.cz/jizdni-dojmy-ze-s...12/foto?foto=0
If I see right, the electronics is Magnetti Marelli.
