Have just been looking at the 1/18 1994 Rydell Volvo estate which has been confirmed by Autoart but does anyone have a date for this?
As this thread has come back I thought I'd update my collection with my latest additions

I am missing my collection now, cant wait untill i can reunite myself with it again. I live in Romania, my collection is back in England, i have not added a new model in over a year now, i still look on eBay and dream of the day i can again though.
JasonPotato, interesting little fact for you, (you might be aware of this anyway, apologies if you are) the 1994 Renault Lagunas of Tim Harvey and Alain Menu came with two different versions of the model by Vitesse, the two you have in your collection are pre rule changes, they also did a version of the laguna sporting front and rear spoilers.
In the 1994 btcc, Alfa came along with the 155 and won everything to begin with, Vauxhall and Renault complained about the Alfa's front and rear spoilers, the governing body changed the rules slightly and allowed the teams to add small spoilers to there cars too, Vitesse then made the two different versions of the Laguna, pre and post rule change, i have all four of the Laguna's from 1994, just to cover myself :)
Anyway, i shall go back to dreaming again now, now i have bored you all with this ;)
Somewhat off-topic, I know, but wasn't it the case that Renault intended the car to have spoilers from the start of the season, but made some mistake in the homologation process and had to begin the year without?Quote:

I was intending just to have the two with spoilers but as you have probably seen i need the Tim Harvey one still. Both my versions are very poor anyway so i think it best just to replace them both when i come across them in good condition.
I dont know exactly, i just remember from my old 1994 btcc review video, where it says some teams were unhappy with the Alfa dominance and launched an appeal, it was lead by Vauxhall and Renault, Alfa were less than happy and refused to race at Brands (from what i can remember) they were then docked points, only for a counter appeal to succeed and all points re awarded, then both Renault and BMW gave there respective cars new spoilers. Not that it mattered all that much anyway as Alfa still ran away with the title anyway.Quote:

Oulten, as i said i couldn't remember very well, and my videos are all back home in England, not seen them in over a year now.Quote:

But that price for an unmade kit
I thought what i bid was a reasonable price but i was away when it run out so you can imagine my surprise when i saw that. I wouldn't even expect to pay half that for a fully made kit. Think you should stick your one up m8 ;)Quote:

I am also trying to find Formule Kits, I have had a bit of sucess but the 2 lists i have contradict each other on some of the numbers, Does anyone have a list that has been confirmed please, I'd be happy with just finding decals for Formule kits if anyone knows where i could try to find any especially the Toyota Carina 93 Hoy/Bailey Omega car, I'd been happy just to see a scan of the decals just to keep me going while looking for a real copy, I know they are very hard to find but i would be very gratefull if anyone could point me in the right direction
Many thanks
Steve
Welcome. I don't have the Harvey Laguna with a spoiler so i can't help you with that aspect but i believe they have the same model numbers because my Menu Laguna (with spoiler) is L069B and my Harvey (without spoiler) is L069A so i'm guessing that the opposites would have the same model numbers. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
No idea where you can find formule kits except on ebay but i don't remember seeing a Carina E model in the last 2 years. I believe they were made but extremely hard to get of. I am aware of this model LINK (top left) which seems to be a good base model but again i have never seen one nor do i know who its made by.
I love the price that some of these models are going for...

If you check the price of this model, it will cost you £154!Quote:

Thanks for your reply, I think you are right with the Menu Laguna (with spoiler) being L069B and the Harvey (without spoiler) being L069A, Most of my collection is in boxes in the loft but from memory the Menu Laguna without spoiler was a Renault dealer model and came in a purple and yellow box, I assume that the Harvey model with spoiler is a dealer model if it exists, I did buy a spare Menu car and was hoping to swap the windows, doors and bonnet but none of the side decals lined up so i think i'll have to try and reproduce and replace the door numbers and drivers name somehow.
I have seen the Carina in your link for sale somewhere in kit form, I have managed to find 3 Spa 94 Carina's and i have the Hoy/Bailey 94 Carina so i have base models but i'm looking for decals to convert the models i already have, One of the lists i have mentions the 93 Omega Carina and also the Kaye/Verdon-Roe Enny Carina's but i have never seen them so wouldn't know if they exist, However going through either old Autosports or Touring Car World mags i remember seeing an advert from either Trax, Touring Car Models or Grand Prix Models that they would soon be available so they might exist or might have been scrapped the same as the 99 Vectra's.
I'm also looking for the Peugeot 405's, I believe a few companies produced a version of the 405 (Gamma, Provence Moulage and Altaya) so again the base model shouldn't be too difficult to find just the decals, I have the Flux decals but have drawn a blank on the others.
Which is also overpriced!Quote:

If i was to ever get the Carina's i would definitely buy the ME-MOD one as the Formule just don't look right to me.
No idea where to find decals i'm afraid except on some of the early 90s beamers. My Pug 405 is formule which you can see in my btcc collection and in my opinion is far superior to any other models out there. The model i'm most after are the late 90s mondeos so i can try and complete my 1998 grid but i'm not sure if anyone has them.
I am in the process of converting 3 models but just waiting for the weather to get a little warmer so i can start spraying them, trying to get a few of the Beamers done; BBR 1995 brabham 318is, Baymo 1995 Soper world cup 318is and a Provence moulage 1994 Xedos Neal or Leslie, not decided yet ;)
Just had a look through my decals and i have 2 sets of Brabham/Cecotto 1995 BMW 318is. Will ebay the second set once i have made the model so if i make a mistake it wouldn't be a problem.
Just sent you a PM.
As some of you know I do Code 3 rally stuff, but the touring cars I would love to make seeing what PDS makes I will leave it for a good while, but I would be interested if anyone makes BTCC Code 3 stuff from this year
Going to be listing both my 1996 Audi's in the near future but before i do if anyone is interested feel free to send me a pm. Pictures can be found in the link on my sig.
What your two conversions with the wrong decals used???
Wrong decals??? Maybe you need to compare them to the real thing, only thing wrong is the 'racing with catalysts' window sticker on Bintcliffe's car.
The race number decals used are the wrong ones! There were two versions in the kit the original with the thick red outline AND the proper ones with the correct thin red outline... Check them if you want!

Compare that against your model..
That all lol you don't have to bid :p
lol dont argue with PDS about decals being wrong/right. he has the keenest eye for detail I know of! He is right about the race number plates being wrong, there are indeed both sets on the BBR decal sheets.
Did you scratch off the original Window names on the Biela model? Might just be the light in the picture but the window looks scratched under the name. Might be interested in the model if its not scratched
argue? hmmm if you say so. Friendly banter i would call it. I never said he was wrong plus i wasn't the one who made them, that would be someone on this forum ;) . Yes they are faint scratch marks.

Might be interested, like to see what you've got (a 2005 Integra wing would be good!)
