In their page for Monte last month they were directing us to Rally-Base. Maybe they are related.Quote:

Lets wait a little bit more for the first 2-3 gravel rallies. Not that I'm having big hopes, this is a serious team with budget, resources, personnel, top car and the top drivers 1 Ogier 2 Latvala versus Hirvonen-Ostberg-Sordo with Citroen-MSport Ford on life support only by Middle East money? If the trend continues... Brace yourself for an even bigger domination than Loeb's unless they revert to 2008-2011 road starting method to create artificial competition with tactics to keep it interesting. Not that it will change the result.Quote:

Look at Audi. To this day they promote new cars (RS6 for example) with their WRC history.
My summary of the day:
Pontus Tidemand has been really impressive.
Ostberg did well to keep his composure after the dramas this morning and had a fantastic afternoon.
Poor Mikko Hirvonen must be pretty annoyed with himself.
It's also good to see and hear Henning Solberg back for a rally too. The WRC needs big personalities like the Solberg's who are always good for a quick sound bite or a swear word. Henning seems to be genuinely happy to be there and just seems to be having fun.
It says a lot about Loeb that he chose to do this event when he knows he isn't too great on the snow. Obviously unfinished business and today is the first time he's appeared slightly rattled, although there was an air of 'I don't really give a **** either way' about him. Let's hope he turns it up to 11 tomorrow and start to push Ogier to go even faster!
If you've missed anything then I've put a news feed and some videos on the page in the link below.
Day Two - Catch Up
They run in reverse order.Quote:

By that logic, shouldn't Audi have pulled out of Le Mans style racing many years ago?Quote:

It was great to see Volkswagen to join the game, but if someone has enormous budget and hightech technology I doubt that there will be any more new Manufacturers coming to the WRC, before the situation has once again changed...
I think they have retired crews first, so Ketomaa if he continues and if not then Nikara again before Mikko?Quote:

If VW will begin to win and the Championship of Manufacturers or drivers, or both, will take is it possible that other brands such as Hyundaii, Peugeot, Suzuki want to enter the game? Would commercially a great showcase to all them.Quote:

They have factory opponents in Le Mans. This year and last year they have Toyota, the years before it was Peugeot. Something VW doesn't have in the WRC. Wouldn't be too good promotion if they can't win the title in a championship full of private teams.Quote:

But they decided to build some expensive prototypes that couldn't even compete with the much cheaper GT3 cars.
What's this thing on his shoes? I've seen a picture of Prokop with that too...

Care to elaborate? I thought Audi had 'moved on' from Rallying, and were now a 'premium' marque. Diesn't Sportscars suit their technology better? TDI, Hybrids, etcQuote:
