Just if I would have that kind of stadium in my use... :D Now just waiting here in Finland for the lakes to freeze properly and then... The fun begins. :s mokin:
Very good weather conditions! :)
We will start tomorrow early morning to stadium stage.
Photos are from the stage on athletic stadium (SS1/7). One run is tonight, second is tomorrow afternoon. You probably mean the stage on hypodrome (SS4). I don't know how it looks at the spot but it's for sure on snow too.
Live results here: http://rally-base.com/2010/tipcars-p...lysprint-2010/
Don't get them too serious, it's show event and many crews don't have proper tyres...
List of crews which passed scrutineering: http://rally-base.com/2010/tipcars-p...ized-to-start/
mirek do have any information about stage karlik. they dirve this stage at saturday??
Yes, it looks like they will drive it normally. It's almost complete snow surface with some broken stone on it. I'm planning to go somewhere there.
we plan to go dm2, first time all cars and second time the first 20 and drive to strahov! you have any information who dont drive by snowy conditions??
Which tyres will they use? Normal snow?
I heard that some crews will use narrow snow rally tyres without studs (those are forbidden in CZ), some stock winter tyres, some wide winter rally tyres known from Monte Carlo.
Like in Poland :)Quote:

It was crazy with some tricky icy places :D Let's say 1/3 of crews had some off, spin or crash into barrier :D
Another Prague Sprint win for Pech and the former PM!
Is V. Berger in car 39 the former Skoda works driver Vladimir Berger?
Yes, he is.
Pretty good performance; he must be ancient by now!Quote:

I have some Skoda Motorsport promotional cards with him and the Favorit... His co-driver was Miroslav Fanta; the names on the side of the car always made me think of a McDonalds menu - Berger & Fanta :DQuote:

Yes, for sure. It was amazing! We saw a lot of great action, also pushed Josef Semerád from a snowbank on SS Karlík :D
PG told me that D10 were absolutely awful choice for SS Karlík. Valoušek and some others used stock Nokian tyres with additional cuts and they worked much better. Strahov circuit was great show from almost everyone but in very difficult SS Karlík it was about raw speed and there were huge differences in driving (also often caused by tyres). For me the most "wau" was Valoušek and the best show showed Semerád duo in last SSS. It was just a bit too cold with -15 degrees in first stages.
Great photos: http://www.johnfoto.cz/praha10/
As a Finn I can't resist... Bit too cold? My record spectating rally is something around -30. :D It really gets to your bones standing for nearly three hours in the middle of nowhere...Quote:

If its too cold, make a fire!
-15 feels warm without fire too :)
Hehe, for sure but You guys from the north are a bit more cold resistant :DQuote:

Is there any Finn, who can tell us if this is any good ..

(nordic climate - nordic codriver:-)
Not bad. Finnish pace notes are better in those conditions.Quote:

Anyway I'll ask Pavel when I meet him.
In the video his name was Paul Kohutainen. If the name had been Paavo Kukko it had been the Finnish counterpart to Pavel Kohout.
Mirek, give him a hint when you meet him. ;)
For sure :D
Renault car + Peugeot Helmet = Win.
