Yes as the WRC is based on the GR Yaris not the standard Yaris hatch.

I'll be surprised if we see it during 2020 unless the Title is gone and they want to get it into proper rally conditions. Otherwise the current car will be more trusted.

if there isn´t any other 3-door Yaris than GR, yes, but if they make normal/hybrid FWD 3-doors those will count also.

so when they have made 25.000 pieces 3-door Yaris LHD (left hand drive) they can homologate it. (FWD/AWD, turbo/non-turbo doesn´t matter)

Huh, is that the reason we don’t see so many homologated RHD rally cars these days? I assumed your 25,000 production run meant you could homologate either LHD or RHD and only MEM (Proton Iriz) and Prodrive (Mini Countryman) had bothered to do so in recent years...

Where did you hear this ?

Features I read on the GR Yaris said it was needed to homologate the WRC car which its based on, with its lower roofline...

I didn´t read it nowhere, It´s the rule.

I haven´t seen any other new 3-door Yaris than GR, so if it has different body then they have to make 25.000 GR4 before homologation.

If they made a basic 3-door Yaris it would be a lot easier to sell 25,000 of them than the GR. But they arent. The 3-door hatch seems to be dead nowadays.

Focus RS (latest, discontinued) sold 34k+ around the world.
Not much of and issue, when the price is right...
And i think doors are the least bit of worry, when you are buying an uncomfortable pocketrocket

Evans writes in his DF article, that the necessary and produced amount will be 2500 pc.
